BBB- Blessing Bags for the Burnt Collabo With Zahra Fazal
We met Zahra Fazal at the beginning of this year and we have always been really keen with working with her. She works with Muhumbili and the Tumaini La Maisha House at the Muhimbili Hospital for children with cancer.
Zahra started a initiated activity for CAS which involves delivering bags to burnt victims. These bags contain pain relief medication, bandages, stationaries and some sweets. Zahra felt these were necessary after seeing burnt victims going through loads of pain at the hospital. These victims often do not receive pain relief medicine from the hospital and so putting these in the bags wood help them a lot. Cancer Institute was originally planning on helping her raise the money for the bags, however, Zahra’s contract with Muhimbili expired very soon so we decided to donate 100,000 shillings to Zahra and help her buy some of her Blessing Bags for the Burnt. We will also be helping Zahra assemble these bags in an upcoming Tuesday CAS session.
