Jason Todd is a moron, obviously, but not even the type of moron who can be excused as well-meaning but ill-informed or abysmally absentminded. There’s no educating that sort of person to the exact nature of what they lack, because they already know those flaws personally, intimately, and yet they’re too stubborn to seek a solution.
And him? He’s just recklessness with a purpose, in full knowledge of what the aim of his actions are but without a clue of what he’s doing. He doesn’t seem to give any concern to the outcomes that would also branch from his goals. As eager as he is to prove something, to beat Father at his own game, to be the better and righteous, all he displays is how inadequate he feels. He hasn’t seemed to learn this habit of his is testing inevitability again, or maybe he has and he just doesn’t care, but he wouldn’t ever admit it as a fault of his own. He wants to show he can do this as he is--as he was---so that failure would be attributed to some other factor besides himself.
And he should care! He should. He has obligations to live for still, damn it.
He’s walking diverging paths, and sooner or later he has to pick the one he’s more dedicated to. Continue as he’s going, and eventually they’ll concede he’s not who they remember. The dead stay dead, the reanimated only do what they remember is natural of themselves. Todd builds on the bonds he had because they mattered to some degree before. Maybe somewhere he knows they matter that much more now as a strength he didn’t recognize he needed to really thrive.
He doesn’t want to be a monster, and he doesn’t have to be, like me. There can still be humanity. Maybe not by Father’s way, but some way.
But he makes them care, and for what? While he promises results, they aren’t results we can condone. He can’t keep being in this family if his mission is what he wants more. That’s what Mother showed me; I was becoming careless. We’re going to fight--he’s going to make us fight--and I have to be prepared.
He’s going to hurt them. He’s going to hurt me.
Talia wanted him to test my dedication? I welcome the chance to keep proving her wrong! I will always choose my Father. He’s not my brother.
But...

guilty as charged, but in my defense one of the predecessors that wore his suit broke into my house and the house of a family member multiple times. i feel justified.

I know he looks fun and cute at first glance. You’re not the first person to fall for it.
