Imagine Simon gets yote to the terrarium on Erid or whatever. He's new here, that's the important bit. Grace keeps staring at Simon for uncomfortably ling periods of time. Simon looks familiar but he just can't place it. It drives him insane for weeks. Simon starts to get cagey about it.
Then one day Grace is teaching the little pebbles and one of them is clearly not paying attention. Cue memory retreival flashback. For a moment, he's back on Earth. One of his students is staring at their laptop, trying not to laugh. They're not sly. So Grace walks up behind them. Give 'em a little scare, y'know? The student is watching some YouTube video. Whatever- wait. That face. That's Simon's face?
