New work for @natgeo U-111 is the last known enemy submarine wreck from WWI in waters off the U.S. eastern seaboard—and never should have been found. Navy Records indicated that the U-111 German u-boat sank at 1600 feet of water - beyond the limit of any diver - but years of research led a team of shipwreck divers to a site much shallower, only 400 feet ish, still pretty deep by any recreational standards.
