Malek is back, and oh boy, do things get steamy in this chapter!!
@saranova and I have returned to the underworld... this time with a brand new pairing, and a brand new perspective.
This chapter is something of an... interlude from our gorgeous ladies - because the boys also get to have a good time in the afterlife. But never fear, we shall be right back to them in our next chapter. The next chapter will post during Femslash week - 28 September-04 October.

The underworld fic is still in its infancy, but I am having fun so have a snippet!! (Qifrey and Coco's re-imagined first meeting, just inside a certain cave entrance):

“...the masked witch told me I could bring her back if I walked the path all the way down,” she says, quietly enough that Qifrey has to lean in to hear. “Will it really work?”
Cold fingers dance up Qifrey’s spine. He looks into the girl’s eyes, her gaze steady with weight she’s too young to hold, and selects his words carefully. “It would help me to know more. Would you tell me what happened?”
Both Henry and Roland will feature. Henry will be in both the Underworld and “future” parts; Roland will probably appear more in the future than in the story’s “past” or “present” (not sure what to call it)…he doesn’t go to the Underworld, seeing as he’s pretty young, but he’ll likely show up again at the end.
(This whole past/present thing will make way more sense after I’ve posted the first two chapters)
The bit you published of the Underworld fic, was it a sneak peek or is that how the fic starts? Is it written in flashback/flashforward?
The bit I published is the beginning of the fic. That’s not the whole scene, probably…there will be more added.
Although that’s where the fic starts, it will not take place entirely in that world. There will be two parallel stories.
One will be in Storybrooke a few months after the end of In the Darkness, when Emma has become the Dark One, and will continue through them traveling to the Underworld.
The other will be in the future Storybrooke that you saw in the snippet. It is not the future/flashforward, exactly. More like a potential future. Make of that what you will. :)
Who are we going to meet/encounter in the Underworld and who are you the most excited to write scenes for? Are there any particular things from Greek mythology you want to work in? (Are you a mythology buff?)
We’re going to meet the greatest hits of course--Henry Sr, and Cora. Probably also a person or two from Robin’s past (although remember that in this version of events, Marian is alive, so she won’t be one of them).
I wouldn’t say I’m a mythology buff although I do know a fair amount of it...I probably won’t incorporate too many of the characters of Greek myths, because to me they have a completely different feeling from that of the fairy tale characters. But the characters will probably mention some of the myths to each other, and the thing I definitely will be incorporating is the geography of the underworld. The rivers and mountains and such. They’ll have to go by/traverse/deal with one or two of them at least.
