tonight on this episode of Silky’s “Songs That Are Dangerous to Listen to While Driving”...
Underworld -- “Dark & Long” (1994)
Underworld -- “Air Towel” (1996)
Underworld -- “Cowgirl” (1994)
You know, it’s kinda interesting how two of Underworld’s more famous songs (the Dark Train mix of “Dark and Long” and the absolutely infamous “Born Slippy.NUXX”) were originally just B-Sides. They weren’t meant to be the focus of their respective singles. Yet due to their usage in the film Trainspotting they became so popular that these days no one really knows about the original versions. ESPECIALLY the original mix of “Born Slippy”, since it was a non-album single whereas “Dark and Long” had the luck to be the first track on Dubnobasswithmyheadman
Weird how that works out, isn’t it?
