Person: How would you summarise your Und_rt_le AU?

Ann: It's the Glitch Apocalypse that is caused by a bitter old man. A child, a flower and a fish are our protagonists and Sans has daddy issues. In the end of it all, the Power of Friendship, Cheat Codes and Anime saved the world.

I imagine the timeline were gaster is saved takes place after they are beat in the comics. Frisk resets and uses the left over glitches or save power to go find gaster and save him. It would make sense

Gaster can be saved after the events of the game virus au but interactions will be different compared to the true pacifist and not the 2nd playthrough one.

1) His relationship with sans. in the true pacifist with the help of frisk they were able to meet and they both quickly admit to their horrible mistake and wish to ask forgiveness from one another even if they don’t expect one to forgive the other. the post virus one, they had a truce but are in an uneasy tension not wanting to admit their mistakes.

2) Asgore spends more time with Gaster after certain events in the virus invasion. Unlike in post pacifist, he is treated more care.

You are somewhat right about the saving thing BUT That theory is possible IF the world is not corrupting down to zero. Sadly it is not…

What I’m going to say maybe spoilers for the end game on what happens after frisk defeats Gaster and how are they going to fix this world ending situation. And one of the reasons why Gaster wishes to erase the world besides the fact that everything was fine without him like some unneeded data.

I shall put it undercut for people who are ok with it.

After Frisk was able to “convince” Chara to spare Gaster. Gaster is still a stubborn fool who refuses to help fix the world. But… by this time with Frisk’s SAVE power (that was possible because of Asriel’s and Undyne’s stall for time), Asgore was able to talk to Gaster.

Although Gaster did not notice, Asgore listened all his ramblings about their past together while he was busy reminiscing in the throne room. Even if Asgore does not remember him, he begs Gaster to not destroy the world because even if this world was unfair to both of them, even if it caused them both pain from the humans and unimaginable pressure from the monsters, he still loves them all. Even if he has no memory of Gaster, he always felt his feeling of someone was missing. At first it was just him loneliness because of his wife leaving him, it was a different feeling.. it is not the lack of a royal scientist either… It’s a place which no one can ever replace, his best friend. (i’m sorry it is fucking cheesy…)

Gaster shakes and drops into the ground and weeps but despite what Asgore says…

He can’t…

Frisk pleads to him to stop this and let it return to what it use to be.

“But that’s the thing.” he says. He can’t not because he does not want to. He can’t because he does not know HOW TO FIX IT. He just know how to make the viruses go wild but does he never had plan to stop it.

The place was dead silent the whole mission was to get Gaster to fix everything but even he does not know how. Frisk, even if they have a the SAVE power can’t fix this large scale fiasco since they are not knowledgeable enough to understand the inner working of this world.

But…. Gaster realizes one thing he noticed. He can’t seem to corrupt or get an effect on place in snowdin.

A small place that might be missed by some yet he feels that place hold something important…

That might be the key to fixing this corrupted “game”.

Frisk does not know about this dog as much unlike like you and me as the players of this game. I do hope you all know who is this dog….

Now despite what you guys think… he may have created this world by accident but this the one shot they have left….

And if the world is fix Frisk can SAFELY go inside the void and SAVE Gaster.
