#uneven streets

My city is becoming less walkable by the day and it breaks my heart.

So today i was walking home and i noticed a lady on the ground a couple feet away from me. I didn't see her fall, but she had a dog with her and she couldn't get up by herself so I ran to her and I helped her up. It's not like that block was empty or anything, there were people around before I got there but they were LITERALLY STARING AT HER. That was legit the most infuriating thing in the world. Like honestly, it's like there's nothing called humanity anymore.

Anyways, I helped the lady up and she was pretty old too and she was really shaken up and stuff especially since her knee and cheeks were bleeding. I kept asking if she wanted me to call an ambulance or something but she said she was alright and she wouldn't even let me walk her home. Yeah so I hope she's alright rn in shaa Allah and that she put ice or something on her wounds.

They really need to fix the uneven streets in NYC. This is why going outside is a hazard and thanks to the internet, we're all safe at home where we're away from uneven streets. Alhamdulillah.
