Neutrophil gelatinase-associated Lipocalin
Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) is a protein that is primarily expressed in neutrophils, a type of white blood cell, as well as other cells such as kidney tubular cells. NGAL is involved in various physiological and pathological processes, particularly in the context of inflammation, infection, and kidney injury. NGAL is a member of the lipocalin protein family, which are small extracellular proteins that bind and transport small hydrophobic molecules. NGAL can bind to a variety of ligands, including iron-containing siderophores, bacterial lipopolysaccharides, and certain matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). This binding activity contributes to the role of NGAL in modulating the immune response and tissue remodelling.

Ungal.
I don’t think it’s finished but it’s been sitting on my computer for quite a while now so better to put it somewhere. It’s an Ungal. A creature created by Flea Bussy and Toady Nakamura in SL (Grendel’s Children store). I fell in love with the design and just decided to make a drawing of it. I wish they could update the model, it’s so unique and Both are really talented, and i love the dedication to the details on the avatar itself. How it moves, how heavy it feels, and the HUD actions. By the time i made this i don’t think i’ve drawn much. Just 2 or 3 drawings in almost 10 years (outside of random doodles... tho it might be more drawings, i can’t remember). I wanted to try drawing something again. If i have an existing model to base myself on i can do it. The pics bellow are (in downwards order) my mod to the Ungal avatar, which uses a Ravel Bell face (i changed it in the drawing in the end). And the pic bellow it is the original avatar.
