Unhanded || Open

Figuring that he'd be a part of the royal family soon, Aladdin felt he should broaden his scope of the world a little more than just passing by a Carpet for a few moments. After all, that's what royalty was about, right? And open relationship with other kingdoms outside of the Seven Deserts? (Past the servants and valets and whatnot...) He was sure both the Sultan and princess were busy for the day with the Genie in tow, so he figured he, Abu, and Carpet could have a little adventure.

He had put on some clothing that the palace had given him before calling for his other two friends with a whistle. Abu, the small monkey, came rushing in with an armful of grapes. With a laugh, Aladdin shook his head. "I hope you paid for that, buddy." Abu paused then nodded his head, to which Aladdin reminded himself to drop by the fruit stand later with a gold coin.

A brush of air passed the two as the Magic Carpet had appeared outside the window of Aladdin's hovel. "How does an adventure sound to you guys? To somewhere we haven't gone?" The monkey looked apprehensive with his cheeks filled with grapes. "Who knows, maybe we'll make new friends, write new stories, or even find foreign treasure." The last two words hooked Abu, who immediately hopped on Carpet. Aladdin joined him with another laugh before they took off.

After soaring for a while, Aladdin finally pointed down. "How 'bout we land there?" The Magic Carpet carefully descended into a quiet alley. After landing, it rolled itself around a rope Aladdin had taken with him so he could carry it on his back without looking took outlandish. With Abu perched on his shoulder, he walked out into a busy street, which was as welcoming as the marketplace back home.

In an instant, the weight on his shoulder disappeared as Abu dashed off for something that caught his eye. "Abu!" Aladdin whispered harshly through the commotion of the crowd. His eyes widened upon spotting the little monkey with his paw about to reach into an unsuspecting person's pocket. Aladdin immediately forced his way through the crowd toward his thief of a friend. "Abu, drop it!"
