Uni List Emails - University of Glasgow

Our society is, indeed, 'ace friendly' – I am on the committee as the asexual and aromantic officer and hold regular coffee events for anyone identifying as somewhere on that spectrum, we're planning some Asexual Awareness week events, and make sure to include asexual and aromantic identities in our general events and conversations.

In answer to your question we are very open and welcoming to any asexual people that wish to join. We do not discriminate against sexualities and we do not even ask what people define as unless they want to say it themselves.

Our society is most definitely asexual friendly and aware.

We did not have any events for Asexual Awareness Week last year, however our event's officer has already pencilled it into our calendar and I'm sure that we will be holding some sort of awareness event during that week.

Uni List Emails - Falmouth

We are indeed an ace-friendly society and it's very important to us that our society is inclusive of people from all across the asexual spectrum. There are many asexual and demisexual students at the university, many of whom are active participants within the society, though we currently don't have an asexual representative on the committee. We would love to run some events for asexual awareness week this year but as of yet we have no confirmed plans.

Uni List Emails - Dundee

I would like to assure you that the LGBT+ Society at the University of Dundee is very ace friendly. We have recently added a '+' sign to the Society name in order to be more inclusive. We repeatedly emphasis the fact that everyone is welcome to our events and we will be holding events for asexual awareness week this year. There will also be information provided in the form of leaflets etc. for those who identify as asexual at events such as our information stall which runs alongside the Uni sexual health awareness week. One of our committee members also identifies as asexual and is dedicated to promoting asexual awareness.

Though we don't have the letter A in our society acronym we are 100% accepting of asexual people and would never turn anyone away based on their sexuality.

Uni List Emails - Abertay

Regarding your question, the society tries to be inclusive of all sexual and romantic minorities. Some of our members are asexual, but in my experience they are usually part of the group for other reasons such as being trans or being homoromantic. We don't (yet) do anything specifically for aces, as we're pretty small at the moment and don't have any asexual people among the committee or regular membership, but we'd love to facilitate or help with that kind of thing in the future.
