I mean I’m not saying the Librarian put them in the wrong section, but….
Jaebum's so old. Like I'm a good chunk older than him and not even I'm that old. I'm worried he'll need assistance when he hits 40. Btw what is it about you and me having the same damn problems? I just ordered a new laptop (bye bye 💸) because mine just blew up 😭 why do these kind of things always happen when I'm trying to sit on my money and find some magic trick to double it?
Jen (kissbbom) and I have just been making old jokes about Jaebum for the past like week ever since he showed us he’s missing a tooth. Annie’s old man jaebum gifset didn’t help as well ahjksfhjkdfs. This is what happens to a man who gets adopted by 5 kids and none of them are cats.
Maybe if we both rip some money in half and trade it in, we can get two bills back for the price of one. Then our money will be doubled!
AHHHHHHH
I want the snake ring and the rep sweater SO FUCKING BAD but I'm poor and it’s either that or the album + tour.
Listen, there was absolutely no reason this exam for a class that’s had all tests held at 5 PM to suddenly be at 9 AM with less than a week’s notice as to the time/date/place, causing me to have to wake up at six am, significantly earlier than I do on any other day and thus already starting to fuck over my chances of getting a good grade because I am SO TIRED you guys, so tired
*cartilage I misspelled because I was on Tramadol and was a bit hurrrrrrrrr
AVERAGE EHLERS DANLOS STUDENT PROBLEMS: went to my first nursing lab on Friday afternoon and I’m super excited to start, but on Saturday night I woke up from a doze to excruciating stabbing pain in my upper left quadrant, pressure, and vomiting that wouldn’t go away. Waited two hours and took 500mg of paracetamol that did nothing before calling the health advice line, and the RN said to either call an after-hours GP to come see me or go into A&E.
Obviously when you’re chronically ill and actually doing very well health wise right now, I didn’t want to go into A&E, but TWO DIFFERENT DIAL-A-DOCTORS wouldn’t come to my brother’s address because it’s lower socioeconomic. They were all happy to help me until I gave my brother’s postcode and then suddenly there weren’t any doctors in the area!
So I gave up being stubborn and went into A&E with my mum at about two-thirty in the morning and waited an hour and a half vomiting, shivering, and changing position to relieve the pressure in my side. The triage managed to rush me some anti-nausea medication and some codeine-based painkiller, neither of which did anything because the pain was so immense I was still vomiting in the waiting room twenty minutes later.
Surprisingly, both the triage nurse and the A&E doctor knew what Ehlers Danlos was! The triage nurse had actually seen in one of my EDS friends getting fluids for her POTS a couple of weeks before and that was the first time she had heard of it, although I suspect the A&E doctor maybe googled what it was, but that’s alright; most professionals I’ve seen have had to google it.
They were very kind to me, actually, which is a nice change. They did an ECG, blood tests, and a chest X-ray. My HR and BP was normal (which is unusual for me!) and the blood tests only showed that I’m slightly anaemic. They gave me 100mg of Tramadol and an anti-inflammatory after the ECG and man, I forget how much I really, really dislike strong painkillers. I hate not feeling right in the head and wobbly and, well, high and unable to concentrate. But it was nice being out of some of the pain, even though I could still feel some of the pressure and if I jostled too much I got stabbing pains, but that’s level 6 pain for you!
The x-ray was inconclusive and none of my ribs were out of place, so the A&E doctor made an – and I quote – “educated guess” that the cartilage in my rib-cage is inflamed, so they discharged me at about five-thirty in the morning with a script for more Tramadol, and that if I was still having pain in a couple of days to see my GP because if I was it might be because my spleen could be enlarged.
And now I’m still sort of a bit loopy from Tramadol on Sunday night at eleven-thirty trying to do my readings for my uni class tomorrow! Just an average Sunday night study rush, right!
(Dude, I have to say Tramadol is a fucking kicker. I can’t feel my legs properly and if I lie down my eyes automatically close I’m that drowsy. I took my only dose for the day at 3 pm and I’m still feeling it now at thirty to midnight, although the pain is kicking up again.)
For my midterm tomorrow, I need to study probability theory, stats, and some scientific research stuff related to psychology for my introduction to psychometrics course. This is an "arts" course . . . . WHY MUST I KNOW SO MUCH SCIENCE-Y STUFF FOR A FUCKIN ARTS CLASS? (Tbh, my prof doesn't understand why the osycj department put this under "arts psych" and not "science psych")
I just realized I spent a day dong 60 pages of the wrong readings fml
