Dark, who’s only heard the beginning of this one and really doesn’t want to know more:

>To be fair Damien’s side was mostly;

“Whoa they’re so cool and smart I HAVE to befriend them!!”

>There was admiration, of sorts, on both sides and they’re both dorks in their own right

>Plus I’ve never seen a single post bashing and/or harshly criticizing Damien and it’s because we all saw how cute and hot he was and decided we’d like to protect him too so i mean

>The DA first “met” A!Mark at 2am on a Tuesday at Uni, He didn’t meet them back till much later

>They were (“legally”) perched on the roof of their dorm building cramming for a test they had the next day, and he was drunk off his barrels attempting to get to his and his buddies building in one piece

>The DA’s attention was diverted from their thrilling studies by a bunch of drunks and decided that they needed a break anyways

>They just happened to have a laser pointer with them

>Drunk people= Cat Mentality

>They spent like an hour leading the group of idiots around with it, losing their mind both at how well it was working and intense slaphappyness

>They only stopped when one of the guys (whom they recognized from one of their classes) started stripping

>There were talks of a witching hour red beacon on campus the next week or so, Damien couldn’t figure out why the DA found it so funny whenever it was brought up

>It wasn’t until the talk died down that they were approached by the guy they’d recognized, he’d apparently spotted them leaving and had to know if it was them or not since his memories were hazy

>between the DA’s peeling laughter and Damien’s confused “Mark?” the answer was rather obvious

> The DA and Damien first met when the DA overheard Damien getting yelled at in a random math building classroom, just getting absolutely scolded about how selling tea packets on campus isn’t allowed and that he’d have to hand over all the money he’d made off of it

>They weren’t going to do anything about it other than eavesdrop in amusement at first, but then they glanced in to take a peek at the victim and Oh No He’s Cute And Trying So Hard To Be Devious?!? What A Goofball

>Neither of them noticed the DA slip in and take a seat on the professors desk, quickly scanning the evidence left on it, easily slipping into a confident smirk at the lack of it in the professors favor

>They cleared their throat and both Damien and the professor jumped, whirling around in surprise (and in the professors case, exasperation once they recognized the intruder)

>They didn’t even introduce themselves or anything, instead they just whipped out their best poker face and started questioning the professor on the legibility of independent businesses being denied on campus grounds

>Damien instantly had stars in his eyes as the DA easily wore down the professor, never once making an accusation. Only questioning the slowly panicking professor to frustration while keeping themselves completely deadpan

>Needless to say, Damien didn’t get in anymore trouble and the professor kept a half mile radius away from the business and law buildings the rest of their attendance

>All the DA asked was they get a fourth of the profits, they’d keep the professors off his coattails in return.

>And a unquestionable, unbreakable friendship formed

>And lasted all the way to Mayor Damien hiring his best partner in crime because he still sucked at making questionable money without getting caught without his good ol’ friend
