Because me and Shauna have our birthdays super close together and we want to celebrate big next year, we're planning a huge Disney trip. Because I know everyone has money drama, we're just gonna do 4-5 days, depending on how well things work out with Shauna using her employee discount for us.
I'm looking at September 1-5 for park days, August 31 and September 6 for travel days.
Unfortunately, since I don't know for sure the situation with the employee discount, I can't give you a 100% accurate pricing right now. I can tell you what I have without the discount, which means whatever I tell you right now, expect it to be way less.
What I'm thinking, with the employee discount Shauna told me about before, with the consideration of 8 people going, the hotel cost for the whole week would be about $85? I think? Maybe a little more. That's what I have in my calculation right now. But keep in mind that'd be 8 people to a room that fits 4. So we'd be going it con style.
Not sure what discount Shauna gets on tickets but without her discount calculated in park tickets for 5 days would be a little more than $300, without a park hopper option and without Shauna's discount.
8 people going means taking two cars. I'll drive one, and in my car, gas costs would be about $30 per person, with my car full. Not sure who else will be offering to drive, but it's about six hours.
Food for the week is a little pricy, I would expect to spend a lot but I'm unsure as to how much. We won't really be eating fancy shit though and we will be going to a grocery store to get affordable food beforehand.
So the reason I'm saying this so early is because how many people are concretely going makes things cheaper or more expensive. So I need to know how many people WANT to go. Just want to, not concrete, just "will try," you know? I know this sounds like a lot of money but if you put away $50 every month between now and then, you have more than enough to go. Plus you never know what money your parents will throw at you for shit like this and we don't need the money like right now.
So okay, who all is interested in going?
