Unidentified brown spirits: Community, S5 E7 “Bondage and Beta Male Sexuality"

We've seen everyone's favorite fake—Glencallan—show up in this season of Community despite the show's open love of Macallan. Most of that revolves around Jeff Winger however, and last week the two sipping on a little something were Abed and Prof. Hickey. What's the beverage of choice when it's time to bury the hatchet between these two? Well... we could use a little help. Anyone with intel?

Unidentified brown spirits: The League, S5 E2 "The Von Nowzick Wedding"

It's an expensive, hotel mini-bar war to start S5 of The League. But what's Ruxin sinisterly pouring out to spite Kevin, Pete, Jenny and Taco? There's that prominent "12" plus the mini-bar aspect of it—so maybe Macallan? But the text appears to have an "O" in the middle of the word and FX is known for using the occasional fake brand or two during situations that wouldn't be flattering to a spirit (and maybe no one wants to be known as the over-expensive hotel nip). Actually... maybe this is Glencallan?? Anyone with intel?

Unidentified Brown Spirit: Ira Glass for This American Life's 500th episode

The greatest show in public radio history recently reached its 500th episode. Ira Glass and company did a lot of special things for their This American Life milestone, one of which was the promo image above. Disheveled, cigarette in hand... and bottle of whiskey half empty? What brand is Ira enjoying?!?

The only clue seems to be a pair of antlers sticking out between his index and middle fingers. I know both Dalmore and Glenfidditch use deer/elk imagery on their bottles, but neither seems to fit the profile. Anyone with intel? Someone interview this guy, stat.

Unidentified Brown Spirits: Walking Dead S3, E15

It's certainly not an unreasonable tendency—if you lived in a post apocalyptic world, you'd drink from the bottle every now and then too. But what bottle is it? There's a good chance it's a prop bottle (what, don't want your brand pictured behind the wheel among the zombies?). If that's not the case however, anyone have any tips on what Merle preferred?

Unidentified Brown Spirit: Ben Affleck's Argo

Still haven't had the chance to see Argo (I know, I know) but you have to appreciate Ben Affleck's taste based on the poster alone. When the Oscar nominations were announced, the still shot below accompanied all the Argo nods on the official website. So what are our Best Picture-nominated pals sipping on? Initially I thought it was Redbreast, but the bottle seems a little too slender to fit. Anyone have intel to share?

UPDATE: Friend of whiskey Christopher notes... this could be tequila. Cringe-worthy misidentification on our end if so, anyone with updates?

When Communityturns to whiskey, it's been Macallan at the request of Jeff Winger. This week things veered 'darkest timeline bad' though, and a new brown liquor popped up. I know the message was "when times are tough you still have friends," but what kind of liquid pal did the Greendale 7 have?

After WZRD, it's good to hear Cudi back at what he does best: clever lyrics, unique flow and catchy instrumentation. Plus... it starts with him asking Dennis for whiskey. What kind? datnewcudi.com shows Jameson in the unofficial single artwork, but Earmilk has an actual picture with unidentified brown spirits. Thought it was Buffalo Trace for a second, anyone with ideas?

Unidentified Brown Spirit: Justified S3, E7

Robert Quarles, The Carpetbagger, The Man From Detroit. Whatever you refer to him as, this man typically loves Pappy Van Winkle. As Grantland's Chris Ryan put it:

That's what made this week's episode so strange. Quarles gets frustrated when his plans slightly unravel. He heads to Wynn Duffy's trailer and grabs... well, what does he grab?
