 Angelica appeared confused at the baby-sitter’s story that she just finished.  The adults seemed to always blow them off, but something about it seemed truthful to the oldest rugrat.  Sure, she was gullible and believed that just about everything on tv could be real.  

“So, your brothers do stuff like that all the time?”  And her parents made it sound like Candance was the crazy one.  “I’m glad that I don’t have any brothers.”  Although, she could see her cousins, Tommy and Dil, getting involved in plans like that.

i really love the idea of akaza & candace being like big brother ／ lil sister ! he’d 100% help her adjust to being a demon when she decides to turn !

i can totally see the two picking up a stray cat or something since akaza has a soft spot for animals !

“Mad at you?”  The question stops Lain still, and she stares at Candace with large caramel eyes brimming with concern.  Is that the impression she had given off?  Or had one of the other Lains, one of her alter egos, gotten out and caused a mess?  The thing known as evil Lain always enjoys doing whatever it can to push Lain’s friends away, ensuring that she stays lonely and on the cusp of nonexistence.

“I’m not mad at you,” she says, frowning deeply.  Even without the influence of her other personalities, she has struggled at making and keeping friends, drawing into herself at seemingly random and prolonged intervals.  “I am... not the best at keeping in touch sometimes.”  Hands wring at the fabric of her gray wool skirt.  “But it has nothing to do with you.”

                                                      he stops to stare at her , as if to say  ‘  have you MET your brothers  ?  ‘   , he knows just because nothing has happened in the past hours doesn’t mean that a invention , or machine  -  or whatever the boys he adored so much had planned for today wouldn’t just somehow magically appear within the next two minutes. he’s seen it happen before.
