// Catching Up Over Tea [Jiraiya & Minato] - Part 6

Jiraiya had faith in his student’s tackling of his next challenge, parenthood. He had Kushina with him after all, who he could already see as being a great mother, especially with how Jiraiya was scolded sometimes by her too.

“You’ll be fine. I also know that if you do struggle, you will ask for help,” he spoke with a knowing nod. Parenting will take its toll no matter how good they were, so support was essential to keep care consistent. Still, he was not offering himself up for babysitting duties.

“Oh? Smart idea, Minato! I can even say, it may do Kakashi some good!” Jiraiya agreed. This was exactly the kind of thinking that would help, approaching it just like another mission. Kakashi seemed the gloomiest of his students; maybe spending some time with Minato’s kid would lighten him up a little!

Jiraiya did make a good point. After all, Minato was already here asking for advice about his students, who weren't even his children (although he did think of them as though they were at times). It was practically impossible to assume that the blonde wouldn't seek out advice if he needed help for a child when he were to have one. The sagely knowledge of his Sensei was part of what always made him such a valuable person to seek out for advice.

"Thank you. I think that they'd be capable, I mean, I've seen how they complete D-Rank missions, so I know they can." He had a feeling Kakashi wouldn't be too happy about backtracking to D-Rank missions though, but calmer missions should do the team some good. After all, they were still kids, even if it were normal for kids to be warriors in their society. "I think Kakashi will be the hardest to convince so he'll require very careful phrasing. I think Rin and Obito may be a bit easier swayed with even simply being asked a favor."

"...I guess it is, but that won't help clean up this mess," he stated as he turned to begin picking up the kitchen. He was still incredibly embarrassed at the mess he'd made....

"...Honestly, I think it's only natural he has such a large appetite...you both have huge chakra reserves. That has to naturally eat up a lot of energy. A normal shinobi's diet would probably not be anywhere near enough to sustain those."

It was logical, even if it seemed ridiculous to most people. And he knew--those chakra reserves weren't just because of the Nine Tails. Uzumaki really were amazing in that way. Minato was just happy to eat whatever they couldn't possibly manage to.

Kushina quickly joined in on the cleaning up of the kitchen. Sure, Minato had been behind it, but she couldn't just leave him to do all of the work. Plus, it was a reason for her to continue spending time with her husband while he was home, which was something she always enjoyed.

The redhead seemed to perk up a bit at that. It really did make sense and it was a bit embarrassing that she hadn't thought of that. She had mostly thought of it is an Uzumaki Clan thing, but the clan was also known for their large chakra reserves. After all, there was something special about the clan that made them suitable hosts for Kurama.

"I never thought of it like that..." Minato's ability to notice things like that were something that impressed her. She wasn't as analytical as that. "Noticin' things like that is what makes you a good leader, y'know?"

Kaoru is into the more peaceful/harmless pranks that are pulled by the Hitachiin twins. The more chaotic ones tend to be Hikaru's ideas and he generally goes along with those ones to please his twin.

It had been nerve-wracking to ask Yasu out like this. He was so nice all the time she figured he would spend some time with her but.. she couldn't ever seem to calm down around him. She always worked herself up and made herself quite antsy. "..I was hoping we could walk around the park together for awhile.. is that okay?" Was that a silly ask? She didn't really have any actual thought of what to do, she just wanted to be with him.. but just saying that would be embarrassing. It was just the first thing that popped up in her head.

"That sounds nice." Yasu smiled softly, "I haven't strolled through the park in far too long." Not with how busy he had gotten with things. More importantly though, he was relieved that she wanted to spend time with him. A part of him worried that he stressed her out and that was never his intention (well, except for those that deserved it).

"The weather is perfect for today to enjoy a walk, isn't it?" It didn't seem like it was going to rain and it wasn't too hot or cold, so pretty ideal weather in his opinion.

Kathy smiled and went to get their drinks. The diner was cute and cozy, a nice place for people driving through to rest. Most of their business being truckers since the town only had about 100 people in it in total. By the kitchen door was a small taped paper sign that read "No Talia allowed in the kitchen"

Talia shrugged, "sometimes apple is good, I like orange juice though. My favorite is Mango but that's something to get from the store, Kathy has a juicer for fresh juice. Sometimes people bring in their own fruit or whatever to juice and she'll do it if she knows them," Talia explained with a small grin.

"She's known me my whole life, though to her it's just since I was "adopted" since mom had to cover my whole "born an adult" situation... she was my mom's childhood best friend," it went deeper than that, but Talia wasn't going to out Kathy without permission, even if she knew Dean wouldn't care.

Dean had yet to notice the Talia sign, although it'd likely come to his attention when the food was about to come. After all, it was practically instinctual for him to look towards any movement/sounds, part of the survival skills he had to develop over the years as a hunter.

"Nice." Dean had never actually had fresh juice like that as far as he knew. He could imagine it was probably better than store-brought juice, just like pie seemed best when it was baked at a diner rather than getting one from the store to make.

"You ever try any juice combos with the juicer?" Was that possible? He was assuming it was. With Kathy having known Talia for so long, he figured she fell into the category of people Kathy would make juices for from fruits they brought.

"It's nice having people like that." Bobby came to his mind when it came to his own life. While a part of him was curious about if the woman really believed the adopted thing with being Talia's mom's childhood best friend, but his own experiences with an Amazon and how oblivious he had been made it pretty easy for him to buy it.

The teasing earns a eye roll from the child but he doesn't rebuttal in response. Even with how curious he was of the man he bit his tongue for now. People didn't really like when he asked too many questions that is if they don't shoo him on sight, that is.

"Um, no. There's another stop." He can't get everything in that one place unfortunately, given the other stop was always troublesome. Once they reach the first stop, Naruto goes in to hopefully get what he needs.

It seemed liked the child had a bit more self-control to his curiosity than Kakashi would have expected. If he had to guess, it was something that the boy had to learn due to people's treatment towards him. If he weren't trained to hide his emotions, perhaps some of Kakashi's sadness would have seeped through the tired aura he provided.

"Understood." His voice was relatively flat in tone as he spoke. With that he trailed after the boy, curious to see what it was that he was getting.
