Teacher Appreciation Week
I'd feel more appreciated if people would stop voting for republicans
Yesterday I went to a Civil War fort called Fort Granger. It’s not a fort anymore just the grounds with some trails, trenches and plaques to read about the history there. In this post I just wanted to kind of record my feelings and thoughts on it.
As someone who loves history in general I was so moved just being there. It was eerily quiet and overgrown. Beautiful though. Lots of trees and a river just outside the grounds. These people at the Battle of Franklin, they stood where I stood fighting for slavery to end. It’s a union fort and it was a union win. However about 10,000 people from both sides lost their lives. It was eerie because I read this on the plaques and just the juxtaposition of the quiet nature that was all around me used to be a war zone. There were former slaves that stood where I stood that were given freedom upon enlisting and this was just 150 years in the past. In the grand scheme of things that’s not that long ago.
It makes you feel a certain type of way especially with everything that’s happened recently in the US. Racism isn’t comfortable to talk about it hasn’t gone away and it’s been passed down through generations and deeply rooted in the South. But we must never forget our past lest history repeat itself, and it will unless we make a change in our present and not stay idle.
Anyway, I won’t be so somber all the time on my blog haha I was just very moved by visiting the grounds. I hope to be a good ally to my friends and to support diversity in my sims content.

In the USA
Abominable, and the fault of money worshippers.
I abhor the GOP and the true capitalists who will not view any worker as essential but only as expendable.
I am only partly capitalist, and partly capitalist is mostly socialist.
It is always easy to tell who is cheating and who is trying to steal ab election.
They will actively make it harder to vote instead of making it easier to vote.
I'm calling you out Texas Governor Abbott, you yellow bellied scum sucker.
Draw.
