If only people would act civil towards each other instead of attacking people & mistreating people just because they disagree on things.
Yes, we may not agree on things politically, we may not share similar interests in things, we may not share each other's sexualities and gender identities, we may not understand each other's cultures & personal upbringings, we may not have lived similar lives to better understand each other without passing judgment on each other which in my opinion people should NEVER do because it's hard to feel compassion for people who experienced things you've never had to face yourself, but boy is it ever so fucking easy to develop opinions and open your mouth about something and talk down to someone & criticize them over something you know very little or in most cases not a single fucking thing about what so fucking ever.
We are ALL human beings, that we ALL share. That is THE ONLY THING we ALL have in common. THE ONLY THING.
But every one of us is a unique individual also.
(individual is singular. Singular meaning one.)
We have characteristics, personality traits, we have our own individual minds. You're born with your own brain. Your brain is not physically connected with everyone else's. Therefore you are capable of thinking for yourself as an individual. And you are responsible for how you think and feel about yourself & for yourself as an individual. That's what separates you from the crowd. That's what makes you unique as an individual.
It's not someone else's fault or responsibility to watch what they say & do or how they act to please everyone so nobody gets offended over every little fucking thing.
You decide what upsets you, nobody else has that power. Nobody else has that ability to read someone else's mind to know what not to discuss around people.
When you make friends with people you learn about people over time.
But everyone gets triggered so damn easily these days and expect total strangers to know everything that triggers them without a discussion. It doesn't work like that.
Also when you start talking & thinking like others you lose your uniqueness. You're no longer an individual that stands out, you're just another cog in the system, another face in the crowd. Don't do it. Don't fall for it. Don't buy into it. Don't believe it. Be yourself.
