Hello! I hope all is well. Going back to my ask about Alucard's behaviour during a relationship, you mentioned some quirks and behaviours that he will try to mask. What would these look like? I also wonder if he has any quirks that are unique to him that can be "cute" in their own, perhaps strange way (I think we all have some behaviours that our partners see as unique and charming so I was thinking about that too). I guess I am very curious about RomAlu (in a romantic relationship Alu 😆).

Aaahh..things that make Alucard, well Alucard. I am going to start out with more obvious ones.
🌪•Rolling Aura
•Much of his outer behaviors is to create horror before conflict even begins. His rolling black aura of power. His cackles of eerie laughter. Alucard is already playing head games and working on growing instinctual fear of humans.
I call it rolling his power and most never truly see an aura but you feel it. It is like having charisma, a presence that makes a person stand out. What leaders can usually have. The Spine shivers and one begins to sweat.
Alucard's aura reminds us why we used to fear the dark..
🌑•Shadows
•His absolute love of walking in the moonlight for example. Alucard and his going for walks is disconcerting but on full moons most of all. That phase of the moon casts the most shadows versus other moon phases and cloudy skies. Basic instinct would enjoy new moons as they are harder to see but not Alucard. You may not hear him or see him except for his shadow(s).
The moonlight is enough to trick your mind. Where does the light penetrate the darkness? With Alucard he can manipulate the darkness to create shadows that logically should be located.
Where does his shadow start and end..
♟️•Sitting
•Sitting on his 'throne' for long periods of time. It seems as if he just contemplates the workings of the universe you might say. He can sit so still you forget he's there. His legs crossed and knuckles under his chin.
Speaking of styles of sitting in a chair or on his throne. It's hard to get up quickly with your legs crossed at the knee and hand placed under his chin. It adds time to stand. Men generally sit with legs apart and arms on arm rests. It's more intimidating and you can quickly rise to a fighting stance.
I didn't remember his fingers interlaced but going back and studying other images, his long body tends to be more 'folded' up. Perhaps it's from sitting down for a long period of time? I like to think of it as how a cat is curled up sleeping and a cat has no problem unfurling to attack.
The one image I remember of Riocard, he is sitting legs slightly apart and long arms draped on the rests. This is more relaxed but aggressive. Think leopard lounging in a tree.
All Alucard has to do is push off from said chair..

⚰️• Internal & hidden
•He is moody and rage emanated from him as an aura he doesn't even truly realize. Alucard is deep in his head and not paying attention to his environment. That includes you.
Stand off-ish to Sir Hellsing. Perhaps a date or event has triggered past memories. Past pains he may truly not know. His living years are equivalent to childhood versus his undead life as First Nosferatu.
Alucard suffered from ptsd, detachment issues and no one he trusted. Just because he's an Eldritch vampire now doesn't mean he can't have painful flashbacks. His reactions are automatic often.
He wouldn't physically harm you but his words are biting and verge on cruel. Alucard would be resistant to apologizing soon afterwards. You knew he was a monster the moment you entered Hellsing. Alucard often just produces a menacing growl when at a loss for words.
Monsters don't normally apologize..
👁•Insecurities
•He would discover how much his words hurt. Alucard figures you will abandon him like so many others in his past except for his Master. How can you still love him, a monster? Alucard will remind you he's forgotten how to love.
Or vampires lose the ability to love anymore.
Yet Shadow King will be clingy in private with you. Your warmth and presence calms him. He wishes to hold you and spooning. Alucard may be king of the beasts but is nothing with his lioness queen. He produces a soft male vampiric purr that his world is good right now.
The Unholy King will do simple gestures of kindness due to his previous moodiness. Roses in a vase from Hellsing's rose garden. Have Walter get some favorite food of yours.
As for movies, All Father of vampires, will even put up with bad vampire movies to hear you loudly munching on popcorn. When horror movies, how you burrow into him from jump scared.It's cute you snuggling the ultimate monster. His maniacal laughter and fiendishly chuckles can be heard down halls.
Alucard is far scarier than any movie villain…
💋•Romantic
•Alucard has been taught how to be a gentleman. Pushing your chair in and opening doors. Slow dancing and a love of classical music. There are some modern music genres but in the end he's most comfortable in eras he lived before Abraham caught him.
Take you out on moonlight walks and night sights, plays, musicals and such. Rock concerts cause him to get aggressive and overly protective.
A favorite is phasing his arms through a wall and pulling you through. It's always a location in which plenty of privacy is available for a love making session.
Often it's Not a quickie…
🚨Overly protective
•Speaking of Overall protectiveness, it can't begin to describe his nature on this. First wife committed suicide, most likely loss of infant children. He outlived his relatives and friends. Alucard may have mistrusted his family but it doesn't mean he doesn't miss them in some more human way.
•Sometimes you have to remind him you can take care of yourself. How he needs to trust more and how he can't protect all the time.
He'll hiss and growl softly but he knows you are right.
