I really love the idea of Bayonetta being Akira's mom tbh (at least in the Smash universe). It'd be really cute?? bayonetta swaps between two responses to joker being in danger, with minimal warning. one second she’s way too overprotective of her quiet, yet unruly, teen, and the second she’s tear-eyed, proud of him for taking down dark shadow entities and welding sharp daggers and guns. there’s really no in between.
so much to bond over. so. much.
joker has the big stars in his eyes over bayo’s gun shoes. between those and arsene’s knife boots, he’s all pouty he doesn’t have weapon footwear of his own. bayonetta finds it cute, but isn’t giving him a pair anytime soon (that’s fine, joker tries them on in secret)
the most Extra™ duo ever- and Bayonetta loves it. lots of teaming up in Smash battles, accompanied by fancy gun combos and flips. they even have a victory pose with matchy finishing lines. the other smash members are kinda desensitized to the dramatics now
she’s be reluctant to openly admit it, but she tries really hard to be the best possible role model for akira, or at least the best possible mother. she wants to be to akira, was her mother was for her. (it’s a frequent source of worry and anxiety for her)
actually gets teary eyed when she finds out about joker defeating yaldabaoth. peak proud mother moment, doesn’t shut up about it for days. her son killed a god. using the power of satan he summoned from his own soul. looking peak aesthetic while he did so. is this what it feels like to succeed as a parent?

joker’s home life, away from the smash universe, hits a few sore points for bayonetta- she understands the whole ‘ostracized’ thing, it brings up some pretty internalised and locked away emotions- she hates that joker has gone through suck similar feelings.
very interested in hearing about his phantom thief escapades- and more than willing to give some support. and by that, she means willing to expand joker’s outfit choices- phantom thieves are masters of disguise, afterall. arsene couldn’t be more in agreement. (joker’s a little outraged his own persona is siding with his mother over him)
