Certainly fufilled that fantasy, didn’t you, Abel.
I must say, there was something satisfyingly erotic about having my hands in your body, Frederick. Your body writing and pulsing around my fingers... *shudders*

"What can I do for you, Doctor?"
He straightened up as soon as Chilton walked around the corner. Almost military in his stance. Silent as soon as the last syllable left his lips.
Watching.

✈ - an eye-opening memory
Mason’s been given a chair in the corner and a bottle of coke, one of the glass bottles with a stripy straw. It seems a little funny, that detail. Stripy straw, glass bottle, and the man who’d handed it to him had seemed so pleased with himself, had palmed it into his hand with the air of someone bestowing a real treat.
He doesn’t have the heart to tell the man that he doesn’t really like coke — besides, Papa would probably cuff him across the back of his head if he was rude to these people.
Rumbling voices spill Italian in the next room, Mason sips his drink and sticks his tongue out, pulls his legs up under him on the ratty old lounge. This isn’t the usual sort of place that Papa has meetings, it’s grimy and damp, and the men he’s meeting, well.
Some of them are wearing suits, but the others, the ones who hang back and eye everyone, meaty hands ready to grab at the guns bulging under their leather jackets, they look like the action movie version of Papa’s security guys.
A big, beefy guy with a smiley, lined face and a suit worth a solid few grand walks over and tousles Mason's hair, "You're a good kid, huh?" his voice is gravelly and heavily accented, Mason shrugs, "yeah, a good kid, wait around while your pop does business. How old are you?"
"Twelve," Mason sits up a little straighter, "I like when Papa lets me come along."
The man laughs and claps him on the shoulder, Mason smiles.
"Your pop is good man -- today we deal with someone who has been ... uhh-- a problem for our interests. You're big kid, yes? Not a problem for you?"
It twigs, then. Why they're in this grimy little basement rather than a shiny new office, why so many of the grownups have that anxious anticipation etched onto their features. Mason thinks about Papa's limp, spots him across the room leaning on his cane and talking animatedly with a couple of heavy looking guys.
A horse riding accident is how Papa explains his bad leg. Mason knows what really happened, though -- he's always known, or so it seems. At least he can't remember being told about it. Just another object lesson -- don't try to screw people over unless you know you have them by the balls. Or you'll end up taking a ball pane hammer to the knee and spending the rest of your life using a stick to get around.
"Are you gonna kill 'em or just teach 'em a lesson?" even Mason can hear that it sounds funny in his high voice, the man looks uneasy for a second and then he laughs again to cover it.
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, kid, there's more cola over in the fridge there," the man walks away, fishes out a handkerchief to wipe sweat off his top lip.
Mason sets his coke aside and sits forward in his chair, he wants to see everything.
Hey Will, did you do anything for Halloween?
Had a nice dinner in with orderly-brown , freddie-lounds, and, believe it or not, uniquecocktail.
We've been discussing many issues regarding the passed year or so…an unlikely group, sure, but we all share a certain kind of clarity.
Dogs were at our heels, of course. Safe inside away from the blistering cold snap of that night.
