Mhm, that’s a tough one. I think Mildred, Nancy (the virgin in Jus in Bello) and the Indian Godess which name I forgot in Hammer of the Gods. That’s at least the first that come to mind.

Hey there! i'm participating in gishwhes this year. ill be in Auckland, New Zealand during the hunt. Any advise? cuz its my first time, and im all alone

My first piece of advice is, once you gish you’ll never be alone again. Check out our Team Search page, or go find us on Facebook here to look through the teams who need members. Chat some people up. You can also just join and be sorted randomly into a team, but I think it’s more fun to get to know your hunt-mates first. My second piece of advice is to do the hunt the way you want to. Find a team with similar views on how competitive you are, and don’t let a fear of imperfection keep you from trying something epic. Even if it’s not a perfect polished image, the creativity and fun you had will show through. Most of the pictures that get picked for the book aren’t the perfect ones, anyway, so pick something strange and jump in.Third, be lovely to the people you ask for help. You will need help, whether it’s from a NASA Astronaut or a professional writer or a convenience store manager. Don’t demand things, or get rude if they can’t give you what you’re asking for. Remember that kindness is one of our by-words and leave everyone you talk to with a good impression of gishWHes.

Fourth (and wow is this important) don’t forget to read all the way through the rules. All the way. It’s crucial.

Lastly, follow the item listing exactly and do not try to reinterpret it or be clever. You might get a laugh but you won’t get points.

Thank you, and yes, I always say that. If someone is talking about suicide, it is serious enough, they don't need to show proof. I don't care if they did took 10 pills or just said that. They are in a bad place, and if words of encouragement can help them then that's what I'll do.
