firetruck winwin appreciation

i just want to say that the only reason i’m not making a post on each and every one of winwins outfits is just cause win wins styling was actually pretty consistently good throughout firetruck but also very copy paste in a way so i couldn’t talk about each and every one

the reason i say copy paste is because they’re all pretty much the same silhouette, the same formula so to speak. but its very efficient. winwin looks gorgeous all throughout firetruck and i am so thankful

the experimentation with colour combinations and all the colour coordination in his outfits is what really impresses me. it’s so subtle but genius. in this outfit from the jacket shoot the red of the harness is subtly matched to the red in his scarf, which mind you i love. 

the scarf is such a nice contrast to the rest of the outfit in every other aspect though. this beautiful floral silk scarf is paired with a tattered, distressed, spray painted jacket and a harness that isnt even fastened properly but just looks like he’s thrown it on last minute. on top of that his hair is messy and the way he stares into the camera looking completely fed up. wow. yes

once again we see the minimal but gorgeous colour combinations. sichengs in clothes that just look so worn and grungy while wearing this pendant which looks like it belongs in some spiritual meditation centre, not in this punk rock inspired look, but it works. the only thing that could've made it better would have been if he’d painted his nails black to match the fit

as you can see all these outfits are just different versions of each other. this one below i just wanted to point out because of the colours and textures. they're amazing we love just ! look at how the blue of his sleeves match the spikes in his choker and how the red and white stripes in his headband resemble the stripe of his red belt against his silver metallic trousers. it just blows me away. and also just how they managed to combine the blue mesh, metallic trousers and tie-dye tee in one outfit without it feeling messy or too much

as for the harnesses i think i’d be annoyed seeing so many of them if it weren't for the fact that they’re actually functional in this case. I'm all for functionality in clothing so I'm pleased about that:D

for any of you who didn't like his hair. just. think again. take another look at it and just, realise its fucking majestic and sicheng looks so good in it. like neon hair was a trend in 2018 but sicheng went back to his emo roots way back in 2016 and said fuck it we’re bringing back the neon scene kid streaks except bass boosted amplified just full coverage and i respect that

i guess i’ll just have to pray to the fashion gods that ncts stylists bring back this grungy punk i hate school version of sicheng that i love with all my heart

this is the look this is it i love i live jungwoo did that yes thank you

i have no words. perfection. jungwoo looks so fucking hot in this and i think thats all that really matters

on a serious note tho, not much to say about this look except that i love it. the colour coordination is perfect 10/10. if theres one thing that bugs me its that the jeans look way too washed out in some photos and they really clash with the other very true blacks

as i said there’s not much to say all these items are currently very trendy and they look great together and usually i’d find that very underwhelming as it’s something i’ve seen a lot of but i can’t stop looking at this.

this really is the more receptacle, commercial so to speak, version of the firetruck styling.

i also, strangely enough, actually like the absence of accessories.

some things i could've done with: heavier make up. like imagine this but with black nails and matching eye makeup

I've decided its about time we tackle this (the only full body photos i found were previews)

those shoes they just make me happy, he already has pretty long legs (in proportion to the rest of his body at least,,) and those heels just make it even better

theres a version of this with a velvet suit jacket instead of the leather one but its not nearly as good

the leather jacket and heeled boots with those bedazzled velvet trousers really give it more of a glam rock vibe and I'm living for it. i really hope they go more full on glam rock in the future cause hyuck would pull it off so well

i love how mismatched but still put together the whole look is. he's wearing this dress shirt with a really interesting collar with whats essentially 2018s equivalent of juicy couture track bottoms and then to top it all a biker jacket and heels

also !! i mean i know practically nothing about makeup but wow

so lets talk about jaehyun in limitless

we’ll tackle the spider hair another day (probably very soon cause I'm passionate about that hair) but for now i want to focus on this absolutely iconic look

i know this isn't nearly as controversial as the lychee hair look but i feel like we need to ease our way into the limitless era

the main thing i like about this is how coherent it is. a lot of ncts fashion is disliked because its very mix n match with different styles and such but this whole look gives us a sporty kind of hip hop vibe

jaehyun totally looks like an extremely hot version of a jock from a 2000s high school movie. yes what i’m saying is that he pulls off that vibe but takes it to a whole other level with a sense of maturity while still playing off of this very boyish teen aesthetic

the make up is what throws it in a loop the most. for me at least. here we have jaehyun in a football jersey looking like he’s just heading to the locker room after practice or maybe just won a big game and, showered and is getting ready to celebrate but he’s got this crazy dramatic dark make up that you’d never associate with a high school jock.

as i’ve said before i love how ncts stylists challenge stereotypes and this is just another example. he’s wearing this bold make up and a bunch of jewellery that most boys would be afraid to wear for fear of looking too feminine but the way its done here there’s not a hint of femininity in this look

i love these monochrome outfits we got during limitless and red and white is of course a classic. its so relaxed but looks so put together at the same time. the layering and alternation between red and white is just extremely satisfying to look at and the scarf really ties it all together

a lot of people hated this hair seeing as it looks pretty greasy but i really think it adds to the look, as i said, giving the impression that he’s just been working out

okay so i was originally gonna post something else today but then haechan came and blessed us with this so yeah

i mean all of the looks from this photoshoot have been top notch (posts on taeil and yuta otw hopefully) but this one just has my heart

first of all the colour palette is so good. I'm such a sucker for all white outfits (there'll be a rant about taeyongs t7s look at some point too dw) and this is like an elevated version of that. the combination of cream, warm and cool shades of off white along with the bright pure white of his t-shirt is divine i love. truly a colour palette not many people can pull off

but hyuck he doesn't just pull it off he absolutely kills it in this. usually when someone has warm skin as he does they'd be advised to wear warm tones and gold jewellery to compliment it. but here all the white along with the silver jewellery doesn't makes his skin look dull but on the contrary it glows all the more in contrast 

the fit of the outfit is so nice giving me late 90s/early 00s rnb with the puffer and baggy tear aways that sit so nicely on those air forces all thats really missing is a crop top and he could join tlc and i wouldn't blink an eye

of course sm weren't going for tlc vibes tho sadly so instead it leans more towards the utilitarian or even tactical style which I'm all for (one of the reasons i really enjoyed menswear week:))

i was gonna save this for later but i just can’t stop looking at the outfits from the behind the scenes photos posted to their japanese account

for those of you who don't know pretty much all of the clothing they're wearing, save the shoes, are from designer kanghyuk choi (he’s the one behind taeyong’s silver bomber from boss and i’ve been a fan ever since!!)

i just really love how he plays with transparency in these pieces and again the mix of different types of white, along with the colours in the stitching. its so interesting and creates some really clean looks for ncts japan tour with that edge and oddity that japan seems to have an affinity for

if I'm not mistaken the majority of the clothing is actually made of car airbags and thats why they have this transparency to them. personally i really enjoy it and it gives this feeling of a toile instead of a finished piece, which to me is really interesting.

the stitching is not just interesting because its a different colour but the garments aren't cut as you'd expect so the stitching on his trousers runs pretty much all around the leg in a spiral. but there also seems to be a layer underneath with another visible seam. the transparency in these pieces aren’t to make things revealing but rather more intricate and interesting to look at

im gonna end this here cause idk if anyone cares but i just love his work and how nct pulls it off so i had to write about it

yuta absolutely rocks this and as I've said i really think this colour of clothing gives their skin a glow. also just want to say thank you for the forehead, she's dead

limitless was 10/10 for yuta styling wise

the long hair covering his eyes matched with floral sweats and layered necklaces won me over

this specific outfit really has my heart cause its just? so? soft?

ncts stylists always let yuta challenge traditional masculinity with his outfits and i live for it, the intimate images we get of him in these soft floral patterns would immediately be associated with femininity and i just love how yuta pulls it off with no regards to those norms, it doesn't feel forced or pandering in any way
