Task 3 End of production run Which involves packing everything away back into the prop store all returning the rented items. Is important to make a note where the props come from this makes tiling away easier and quicker.

TASK 3 apply the skills of an ASM during the production

During the production it’s important to be professional,for instance respect people trying to work by staying out of peoples way and be polite. An important thing to do is to make a do list that way you can keep on top of thing and you don’t forget things.

Get-in and get-out follow all health and safety regulations, leave the theatre as you left it clean and tidy also do this before the show as well e.g. Sweet the stage, mop floors.

Pre-set is when you set out the props on stage backstage ready for the production through beginning, you would do this during the interval if needed, plus make sure to arrive early in case problems arrive,this way you have time to solve it. Also when moving furniture,large props and pieces of set be respectful of the theatre by not breaking anything. The Props table Keep it in order with designated areas and labels, this way actors and ASM can find props quickly. After a show where is important to know where the props I’ve been there during the show this way you can grab them quickly later. spike or marks where is important to check the marks before the show just in case they have, during a show this is very important especially for lighting.

TASK 2 carry out the functions and apply the skills of an ASM during the production process  We need a Table and some chairs this involved researching were we can get them,we look at the local charity shops this also means that we could estimate how much money we needed,we found out we needed £150. Once we got the money we went out and look for the table and chairs in many different shops,making a note of the table and chairs we like and the prices as will. But in the end we went for a flat pack table and chairs because it suited the time period in which the play is set and was cheap as well it fitted in my car. Also whilst we were in town we picked up some tinned stew for the show. When decision making we had to make I agree and make compromises when picking the table and chairs,on the whole I think we work well as a team. Feathers,batteries,berry plant and cake For the intermediate show I had to get berry plant from a garden centre and three cakes from Sainsbury, I had to get three cakes because in the show at the cake and then you do enough for four shows and the tech rehearsals. The Feathers and batteries I had to go out on my own to get them, this means I had to think what would the directors want,and know what batteries we needed. It went very well there was no problems everything went smoothly

TASK 4 HEATH AND SAFETY

Heath is important for the good of the show,because you don't want to be affected by sickness or pain, that way you can focus on the show. This means having balance meal, exercising and drinking plenty of water. But it is best to take sick day if you've got a cold coincidence this way you will not get the rest of the crew sick as well. Safety in part deals with lifting heavy objects the Safe way so not to hurt yourself,the right way is to bend your knees and a straight back,this way you want Hurt your back. Also marking of trip hazards os technicians or actors don't get hurt It is also good to use common sense for instance when you walking around in the dark is very best to bring a torch. Working at high When setting up it is best to go at a steady pace and also put on the safety The cautions and collect them as well,plus making sure the person going up is comfortable working at high. The people footing the ladder where hard hats and steel toe cap boots if anything would drop they're be safe.

Unit 59 task 1

Stage management assistant ASM roles Technician Crew member crew member are quick,reliable and a team member i have a certain set of skills fornicate carpentry,painting and welding. They also must work to there deadlines and be on a time,this is important because one prop could hold up the show. SMALL THEATRE first of all they would have a small budget,very few people working on the show this means more work because the ASM would have to do everything. MEDIUM THEATRE The budget might not be that good depending on how popular the shower is, what is your workload on the crew because I would have more people,and they could have people who do certain jobs for example runner which is a person who fetch and carry. LARGE THEATRE The budget would be ideal, people would be hired for a pacific job for instance prop maker, stagehand and the head ASM. Props The first part of getting prop is reading the strip and making notes and a props list,also have a meeting with the directors to get there approve of the list as well as ask if they need anything else. You also must take notes in the meeting this way you don’t have to remember and anyway you’ll forget something. Budget The best thing to do is go through the props list and prices items my looking online going to shops, that way you have a idea of what will cost  You have to have manage the the company’s money,buy making cost savings choices,It is important to not go over budget. Props store  Always have a look in your prop store,also take stock of what is in the prop store and keep it organise this makes it easy to find props
