Task 1 Describe job opportunities in the performing arts sector carry out research into various publications that advertise jobs and work experience opportunities.

My opportunities I went to a cruise liner job fair in London, to learn more about the training and companies. These are some of the companies I spoke with and handed out my CV,and talk about their job opportunities for entertainment technician. Disney cruise line Royal Caribbean P&O Cruises peel talent Carnival UK Canard Viking cruises Colossal training Fire aid training Cruise ship jobs Cruise job help To learn more about the company I went to presentations, at the job fair which were called. Unit 6 task 2 Then after they dried we folded the shirts and put them in a box plus we put the trousers on a rack out the way. Also with a costume maintenance we put away the head dresses from animal farm, we did this by putting them into boxes and storing them away for next year,we did the same with some all-in one body suits. Measuring/fitting unit 6 task 2 With the measuring Marie showed us on a mannequin where to measure for instance the chest, hips,waste, nape, neck, head, outer leg and the inside leg. But how to measure for instance be polite and nice also introduce yourself and your scribe they will be taking down the measurements was you are measuring. When you measure the actor or dancer be respectful for when looking for the management, and only touch them if it's necessary make sure with the tape measure open your arms wide and around the actor or dancer and feed the tape measure around then. Before we measured them we had a talk about being concerned of the actor or dancers feelings,because they may feel concerned about their measurements like are they too fat or are they too thin, so they do not feel bad after we finish measuring a part of we quietly say it to the scribe. With the fitting it was a case of taking the measurements and finding them a costume that fits them, there are several ways way is to look in the costume stores, shopping for the costume or making the costume from scratch and making sure they corresponds of what the director or choreographer wants for the show. Once you have found a costume that should fix the actor or dancer, they must try it on in front of you and the director or Choreographer to see if they like it, and also seeing if you have to take in, let it out or get a different size and if you have to replace because the director doesn't like it. Costume repairing unit 6-82 task 4 During the show some costumes can get it ripped, so what we do is we make a note of what costume is and in costume is. But sometimes you have to repair a costume right away for instance in the middle or minutes before it's about to go on with the dance or actor, in these moments you can feel panicked and rushed that is important to take the time and do a good job otherwise you're have to do it again. I repaired some jogging bottoms for a dancer because the stitches have busted from the seems when he did the splits. Alterations unit 6 task 2 during the dance show we have used a lots of Stock costumes that's what made a while ago. This means that we are going to have to find similar size costumes that will fit the dancers, but we will have to alter some of them just to make the costumes bit better, for instance let out, take in or to make smaller, bigger, shorter and longer. Unit 81 task 1-2 and unit 82 task 5 One of the costume construction skills we learnt was how to use a sewing machine shown in the pictures. After we were told we started sewing labels into the costumes this way makes it easier to organise. The way it would work was Lauren would write out the names of the dancers and me, Alex and Ryan would sew in the labels then hang them up on the rail in alphabetical order of the dancers surname this would make it easier for the dancers to find a costume during the run of the show. This was easy because we all had our own jobs and worked well as a team. Managing tasks I was in charge of getting the army costume for the dance show in the muse number, this included finding a temporary costume for lighting purposes and them looking for suitable questions online combining a portfolio of different costumes for the choreographer to choose from and then we order the property and they picked. Ryan and I we were told to put costumes back into the stores in X block to make room in the costume department because of the dance show coming this way we have a clear space and the stores all organised. Another thing me and Ryan had to take charging was getting some shirts from Primark this involved as getting money from Marie and estimating how much money will need for all of the shirts, and getting on the bus and going down to Dartford. Analysing the character The first thing we did was read all six scripts, in the rubber bridegroom there is a old woman in the murderers den,hi see her as a old woman wearing raggedy old clothes that have been in torn shred, maybe also wearing a old one it with circular glasses perched at the end of her nose. When we were analysing the script we highlighted characters well instance the King, the bridegroom and the birds Also we looked traits the character had where they old,Poor, royalty and animal how they would move around what drives them as a character, then we started looking for running things like what sort of time was it sent what culture is it based in,and we highlighted all of this so we when we look back at our scripts to see how we are going to dress them.

Ear defenders protect your hearing,otherwise after using noisy tools you can get a ringing in your ears, long exposure to this can cause tinnitus or become deaf, that is why we wear ears defenders. Face masks are for The protection of your lungs when cutting wood they’re stopping the shaving from going into your lungs and the same with working with chemicals but they stop fumes from harming your lungs
