We headed to Dominican Republic for a special memorial ceremony held in Santiago and hosted by Marcello Francisco in charge of de Fire Department from the board of the citizen safety, of Liga Municipal Dominicana in Villa González Fire Department, Santiago province of the Dominican Republic . At that event we remembered 9/11 plus 20 and also Awarded Lucas Silverio posthumously who had the heart of a firefighter but was an every day citizen who died saving a young girl from a fire in NYC. His family attended our ceremony and was honored by Gear Up with a special award received by his mom Mercedes de Silverio. Chiefs representing (20) departments participated at the 9/11 ceremony. All were awarded our American Tribute flag which they promised to honor at their stations.
