There is room for more second-generation characters who could believably exist. It’s an informal group rp so if someone wants to play as one of the characters or add their own I wouldn’t mind at all lmao
More under the cut:
The Children’s Crusade still happened, but Wanda 1) hadn’t lost her memories after all but was deliberately hiding and Doom was in on it, and 2) that wasn’t a doombot Clint ran into after all, thus leading to the conception of Edie.
Stevie was conceived a few years before Mar-Vell’s cancer diagnosis. He remembers his father, though extremely vaguely, and was not present at his funeral due to Carol worrying what could happen if she took him into space too young. He didn’t meet Teddy until the Unity Division was founded and he -- and the other Young Avengers -- were scouted for membership about a year after the Children’s Crusade.
Stevie can communicate with an ‘essence’ of his father via the Cosmic Awareness.
Stella has been diagnosed with several cognitive conditions, but these may be a result of her Mojoverse DNA than actual disorders. These are: ADHD, bipolar disorder, autism presenting as hyperfixation, and short- and long-term memory issues. She relies on her phone to help her remember important dates and tasks.
Roman is intensely protective of Mikhail, to the point that he was almost expelled for smacking the shit out of one of the failed Unity Division recruits for continually harassing him.
At first it didn’t look like Mikhail had powers at all. He wasn’t born with the super-soldier gene and his mutation didn’t manifest until he was a teenager. When it did, his was a very limited form of Illyana’s disc-stepping teleportation, but a bad encounter and a blood transfusion from his father saved his life and made him just like Steve. Illyana forced a soulblade on him ‘in order to protect himself’.
Edie is incredibly self-conscious about her inability to fly. She swears she’s supposed to be able to, since both her mother and brother can; her mutations, though, simply aren’t like either of theirs. She isn’t a reality warper, at least as far as anyone can tell -- just a probability manipulator and a keen shot. She’s learning Latverian magic to bridge the skill gap between herself and her teammates.
Charlie’s mutation is even more unpredictable than his mother’s. While Rogue drains the life-force of a person and can leave them winded, unconscious and yes, even kill them, Charlie’s constant build-up of electrostatic energy means that if the initial touch doesn’t kill them -- it’s like sticking a knife in a light socket -- the longer skin contact is maintained the higher the frequency gets.
Christian physically looks younger than his teammates, but he is actually the oldest by nearly ten years. This is because when he takes on his diamond form, he ceases aging, and after a while, this cumulative effect has become noticeable. He is also effectively blind due to the nature of his eye-beams, though his psionic powers sort of bridge that gap.
Jackie couldn’t care less that she is effectively a princess (or at least a duchess, she hasn’t bothered to ask). She also doesn’t care that she’s American royalty either, preferring to spend her time inventing or hanging out with her Unity Division teammates. Though she does often show up with coffee for everybody because Dad’s black card is good literally everywhere.
Jessie dated Tommy Shepherd for a little while, and it caused a bit of a scandal due to her being 17 and him nearly 20. While it worked for a little while, they were both too emotionally volatile and it caused a lot of fights.
Annie has to be constantly monitored. She has severe rage issues and if she gets angry enough, it can trigger a Phoenix episode that takes a great deal of effort to break her out of. The other team psychics (Christian and Jackie) generally keep tabs on her and stifle her anger when it gets too strong.
Luna Maximoff trained with Unity Squad for a while, and was on track to be in a leadership role, but upon entering college she decided she would rather become an ambassador rather than a warrior.
Cassie Lang and Jonas did not die in the Children’s Crusade, and were invaluable in helping train the young recruits when the Unity Division was founded.
Name: Rebecca ‘Bex’ Rose Romanova-Barnes and James ‘Jamie’ Buchanan (Romanova) Barnes III / Nomad and Punk
Gender: Female / Male fraternal twins
General Appearance: Both are all but sturdily built, with fair skin and dark auburn hair; Bex has amber eyes, Jamie’s are hazel.
Personality: Bex is the Mom Friend. Jamie is easygoing and a bit of a troublemaker.
Special Talents: Near-Human physiology, expert weapons training, athletic & acrobatic training. Bex is better with firearms, Jamie is a better hand-to-hand combatant. Slight Super-Soldier enhancement thru father’s bloodline, enhanced durability, strength and agility, accelerated healing and stamina.
Who they like better: Bex gets along better with Natasha, Jamie with Bucky
Who they take after more: Both are bit more like Bucky than Nat
Personal Head canon: While it’s true Natasha was infertile, that didn’t mean her eggs weren’t still viable. The Red Room had seen fit to store a significant number of them away during her training. When this was discovered she retrieved them and, through a surrogate was able to finally have a family of her own.
Among the oldest of the Unity Squad, and treats the team as such. Bex is tough, expects a lot out of them, but at heart only wants to protect them. Jamie wants more out of it and tends to run headlong into trouble, much to his sister’s constant frustration.
Bex is around ten minutes older, and never lets Jamie forget it.
