"PORTLAND IN FLUX" - A piece I made in 2018 in response to the massive building boom and total transformation of the city over the past 8 years. Growth and change are inevitable…I just wish the new Portland developments were done more thoughtfully by taking measures to protect historical buildings and build better support infrastructure. NOW...on a whole other scale, Portland and the world is in major flux. So much massive change is happening in an instant. While I also don’t like this forced hardship…I have hope that a pandemic this big will bring massive change and transformation that is needed. The world was running at such high political, economic, social, and environment tensions…it feels like the bubble has bursted and now we are forced to work together.
