UniversalAttachments/AttachmentKin.
Definition:
The belief that the reason you have different attachments to fictional characters (examples being romantic attachments, familial attachments, platonic attachments, etc etc) are caused by an alternate universe where you knew the character, and had the same type of connection with them. An example being that if you feel romantically attached to a character as if they were your boyfriend/girlfriend/partner in this universe, but only that and not your actual spouse—you may have actually been (or actually ARE—considering different universes times probably work a bit different) a couple with that character in an alternate universe. The belief mainly is held around the idea that perhaps there are universes where you are an actual person within the universes of fictional medias, or perhaps were a person in a universe similar to the fictional media, which could also serve as a reason for why you feel so connected to different universes, or different locations like they're your home.
Okay, sooo—this is based off of a theory I have, but I made a flag for a type of identity that I think maybe aligns with kinda what I think is true. And what I kinda believe in.
( @gang-with-hatz since we were talking about this )
This is my first time making a flag, so I'm sorry if it looks weird hehdnd

I think this is sort of what I believe in? However, I am to my knowledge the first person who came up with an identity for this, though if I'm not, feel free to inform me. I will provide my own insight though.
Through a tarot reading, I found out that I knew two different fictional characters (which I really like and feel connected to) in an alternate universe where I was a person in the show. Both of which were apparently my friends in said alternate universe, and while I maybe didn't feel that way before, the way the tarot reading described my relationships with them both separately did kind of give me insight as to why I was so damn obsessed with the both of them. Even with this though, I have no memories of the alternate universe, because even if there is an alternate version of me out there that knew them, that version of me likely still exists in some way. I'm just an alternate version of that alternate version feeling the same attachments, or subconscious feelings. So due to the lack of memories I have, and only having feelings, I still sort of view both characters from a distance, and am still comfortable writing fanfiction or AU's about them both. They may know me in an alternate universe, but they don't know me here—so this is why I'm comfortable creating fan content anyway. At least, I don't think they do. In any case, I do feel an attachment to them, but it's distant, and not close enough for me to feel bad about making content of any sort or feel bad about seeing different types of content of those two.
I cannot guarantee actual memories (cuz this isn't what I personally experienced—but it may be different for others if this respnates), but if this resonates with someone, and they've experienced memories of their own like kin memories—feel free to share your experience. The way I learned was through tarot readings, and divination, so perhaps if this resonates and you'd like to learn more, you could try those.
For now though, I'd say this resonates with me the most. I may go more into this identity in a later post.
A better/more proper version of the flag I made for Attachment-kin/UniversalAttachments if anyone wants to use it! Credits to @gang-with-hatz for this amazing version of the flag!!/pos
