We have now reached the culmination of the #Wands for the #2019minorarcana study. Here we have the 5 Kings and 1 Prince. All powerfully arrayed, they all emote creative force. The #RWS, #Llewellyntarot and #Universalgoddesstarot Kings sit comfortably on their thrones holding wands and surrounded by either symbols of or literal fire, the element of the wands. Strong, sure and magnetic.⁣ ⁣ 🔥⁣ ⁣ The #deviantmoontarot King takes the last one step farther by being out among the people. Children, the future, have flocked to him as he lights the way. There's a cyclical pattern of inspiration here. Where he leads, they follow; sparks of light which in turn empower him. ⁣ ⁣ ♣️⁣ ⁣ The #Linestridertarot and #thothtarot cards have the leonine symbolism in common. Indeed Leo fits all the cards. Strength, energy, power, initiative, and vision are all great leadership qualities. There can, of course, be some negative as well. The Thoth is the Prince and therefore seems a bit younger, less experienced and more action-oriented . He's in the chariot going places and doing things. More led by the lion than embodying it or at least seeing it as separate from self. But still directing and driving that energy. Okay so the 8 of Wands is a card whose meaning I usually go with intuitively since the generally-accepted one doesn't usually work for me. At least the #RWS version of it doesn't because look at that card. It looks bucolic landscape painting and steady to me with no movement. But is we ask ourselves do sticks really hang in the air like that naturally, then no they must be caught while moving in this picture. So there's logic in that. The #Llewellyntarot card is little better. The deer imply movement more than the random wands do. It may just be poorly interpreted artwork in my opinion. Because even with the deer it seems to be a quiet harmony and relaxation focused card. Maybe at one with nature.⁣ ⁣ ♣️⁣ ⁣ The #deviantmoontarot card brings things more up close in a way. With the woman on her land about to harvest, or just cut, all 7 of her wands at once with the 8th one. But a crow flies in with a letter which may or may not stop her. The #linestridertarot card has a young deer leaping followed by a bird flying. Much better representation of action and also going somewhere with purpose. Then the #universalgoddesstarot card throws another curveball with the goddess #flora, naked and hanging out with flowers, indolent. Seemingly implying taking one's time. Similar to the #riderwaitesmithtarot and Llewellyn cards. And of course the true oddball as always is the #thothtarot card called swiftness. It looks all about calm, balance and even unity. Back with the 3 of Wands comparison for @3am.tarot's #2019minorarcana study. The trend of #llewellyntarot mirroring the Radiant #riderwaitesmithtarot in the minors continues. Watching ships leaving on trips out into the world. Looking ahead and from above is stronger here than in the the 2 of Wands. So a progression is seen. ⁣ ⁣ 🔥⁣ ⁣ The #deviantmoontarot takes a different approach by feeding and empowering 3 plant stalks. Meanwhile, the #universalgoddesstarot shows the #Horae holding 3 branches at different stages of growth corresponding with their stages of life. ⁣ ⁣ ♣️⁣ ⁣ The #Thothtarot card, always being different, says virtue while showing 3 lotus-topped wands and the Sun in Aries. Symbolizing the beginnings of creation again but with a positive future and higher good. The 2 of Wands starts making things a bit more work when comparing. Each of the decks I have seem to focus on something different. Once again the #llewellyntarot is the most similar to the (not pictured) RWS bit even those are different from each other. The original seems more travel focused and decisive. While Llewellyn's has a more balanced and almost fortune telling feel. Planning for the future. 🔥 The #deviantmoontarot and #thothtarot cards have a similar creating something new out of two separate things. Be it creative or destructive forces. This may be what the #universalgoddesstarot is showing as well with the image of the youths.
