{🔥}—; "Not sure how we keep ending up in these messes pal." Spyro said to Sparx, the small dragonfly at his side who responded in a buzz and shaking his head.
Seemed like someone was messing with the portals again because the one that was supposed to send him home didn't seem to be working properly and led to some trouble he'd have to figure out. Luckily the portals are protected so not just anyone can wander through them, and are hidden. Not only that, but it sent him to some other realm he didn't recognize meaning that he had gotten a little lost, especially since he hadn't yet seen anyone. For now, given he now had a lot of time on his hands he decided to go exploring.
He could see that he was on the edge of some kind of island as he looked around after finding the edge led to the vast ocean. It looked like night had already fallen and the sun hadn't yet begun to rise, but it wouldn't be too long until then.
The purple dragon turned around and made his way through the woods, hearing noises in the far distance but didn't yet know there was actually a village on the other side of the mountain and the woods he was currently walking through. Although he was nearing the edge of the woods, Sparx insisted he should rest for the remainder of the night given he hadn't slept in a while. He was always full of energy, but neither of them really knew what awaited them in this land. Regardless, with an eye roll he shook his head. "C'mon pal, I'm not tired."
But Sparx insisted a small nap wouldn't hurt, as he nudged him. "I'll keep an eye out for anything while you do." Spyro finally decided to listen to him, despite how stubborn he could be. He found a small clearing covered by bushes, so he wouldn't immediately be noticed by anyone passing by unless they stumbled on him.
With that he rested his forepaws under his head and made himself comfortable up as he wrapped his tail around himself as Sparx rested between his horns on top of his head and decided to keep watch for a bit.
