“I’ve got friends; my three sisters are all I need! I’m only with all this lot because I got separated from them in the earth-shake; and once I find them again, I won’t need anyone else.”
That was, at least, what she firmly believed. Sure, having three (barely) older sisters presented its own set of issues when they sometimes looked down on her as the baby of the family, but Cera was convinced that it was only a matter of time before she made them respect her. And besides, they were all alike, all saw the world in the same way; she understood them, unlike these weird flat-heads and big-faces and whatever else.
Not that she’d ever admit that she didn’t think she saw through the others perfectly. And she wasn’t taking any argument on the matter.
Back in the present moment, however, Littlefoot was speaking to Spyro again while Cera huffed to herself.
“Well, we already are heading that way,” he explained. “I just didn’t know for sure that we were on the right path.”
Following the bright circle, after all, was a simple but not hugely specific direction. Cera’s outburst had stomped all over his renewed optimism a bit, and he could see her still glowering at him even now; but all the same, Littlefoot was greatly relieved to know that they weren’t off-course.
“But thanks to you, now we do know! We’ve just gotta keep going. We’ll find some green food along the way, I’m sure of it–”
“Oh, you’re sure? You’re all so sure?”
Cera’s green eyes flared, and there was a distinct challenge to her tone as she glared back and forth between Littlefoot and Spyro. She knew, better than any of them, why they should indeed keep moving - Sharptooth was out there, whether Littlefoot wanted to believe her or not, and despite all her boasting she feared falling into his shadow - but that didn’t stop her from wanting to see what they’d do if she just refused to move from this spot until they had green food.
…they’d probably just leave her behind, in all honesty, the girl realised with a wince.
“FINE. But you both better be right about that.”
Sticking her horned nose in the air, she resumed the march in the direction Spyro had indicated, almost daring the others to keep up with her.
