To discuss the differences between college and university, first, we need to know what actually college and university is. A college is a small institution, which offers undergraduate degrees.

Technologies
I have noticed on my blog I like a whole range of technologies...
Traditional methods have surprised me. Since beginning this course I am more likely to pick up a sewing needle and an embroidery ring than ever before? Strange as I am usually a technology geek. I enjoy buying new electrical equipment and putting it to use. However saying that, I will always prefer drawing with a pen or pencil before anything else.
New methods include photography with my DSLR, drawing on my graphics tablet (still learning), filming with a GoPro and scanning my work into the computer and using Adobe programmes to edit these photographs.
Even though I am open to learning new methods, it will take a lot for me to abandon a graphite pencil for an Apple Pencil.
Analysis of Art
There is definitely a common theme running through my likes and dislikes on this blog.
I really enjoy quirky and clever art. Artists who go out of their way to invent new and interesting ways of expressing themselves and their opinions are the best. I have found a love of embroidery art and photographs taken with film. If I had to label my likes I would say that I greatly appreciate art and film that holds a sense of nostalgia, or something you’d collect and stick into a keepsake box. I have always collected memories as I find they are the only thing left after the people you made them with have gone - that may be sad, but its true.
Photography is also another common thread that I have found on this timeline. An activity that only requires you to point your camera at a subject matter and press the shutter button I find it fascinating how diverse it is as an art form. Having taken A-Level photography I can appreciate the importance of photography throughout its versatile job in documenting, informing, persuading and entertaining its audience.
Film has been a passion of mine since I was you - that is watching and creating them. Danny Boyle and Edgar Wright are two directors which work I follow religiously because their post production work and intelligent scripts and cinematography leave a feast for your eyes. In recent months I have grown fond of independent and science fiction films. When I say Sci Fi I don’t necessarily mean films all about aliens. I mean films such as ‘Moon’ (Duncan Jones) and ‘Sunshine’ (Danny Boyle), which explores the human condition through a developing scientific subject.
To sum up for now, talented artists with the patience to explore their craft and really deliver are featured on my blog. I enjoy their work and their curiosity to explore their own personal boundaries.
