The I-70 killer is an unidentified and unknown serial killer that killed 5 victims between April and May of 1992 along the I-70 in the USA. All but one victim was a petite brunette woman who was working in a shop.

The I-70 has also been connected to 3 other crimes that happened in 1993 and 1994 in Texas but these have never been officially confirmed.

27 years after his killing spree the motivations and identity of this killer still remains unknown, leaving his victims without answers or justice.

My wife was a kid when the hammer killer blitzed several victims in the Denver suburbs in the 80s. Many people have a news event or crime story that marks the awakening of their awareness of how terrifying the world can be--this may have been that for her. Now a long-hidden bit of evidence in the case is being re-examined, as it should be. If you read the Post article linked above you'll get a sense of why it's appalling that such a vicious series of crimes remains unsolved, and maybe worse, little-known outside the state of Colorado.
