I terms of lore for Unleashed. Do you have any loreish headcanons? And do you have any headcanons for Chip and Werehog?

ooh, haven’t really thought much about lore hcs, actually! only got one. but, i would like to believe that since the temple in adabat gave chip his memories back, each of the other individual temples would also have at least a portion of that kind of power? since chip can just feel where the temples are, like the one in eggmanland, he’s gotta have some deeper ties with them the game never went into detail about. other than that, i haven’t any headcanons lore-wise.

i DO have a BUNCH for the boys, though!

• feral sonic behavior is a win! whether it be kinda subtle or completely going FULL WOLF is fine by me.

• chip putting sonic on a leash and trying to walk him like a dog and sonic just going “chip please, we’re in public”

• inner struggles!! sonic trying to work out this turmoil he has within himself with a supportive little chip by his side giving him chocolate is an idea i stan.

• adding to that last one, chip acting like a life coach to sonic to get him out of constant slumps: “world ain’t gonna save itself, bub, move it or lose it!!!”

• knuckles and sonic being dudes together, punching and destroying things.

• sonic only slouches at night because he’s actually almost a whole foot taller than during the day and wants to appear as harmless as he can

• chip offering literally anybody chocolate because it is his peace offering. to both humans and animals. ANYONE. you cannot tell me otherwise.

• sonic is serious dad material to chip. just look at how he treats chao! it would be a crime to assume that he wouldn’t have (to a degree) some dad instincts over his little buddy.

• chip copying sonic in any way he can because he’s just,, so cool?? poses, how he walks, anything he can get his little hands on.

• chip would definitely demand piggy back rides from sonic. he’s a fluffball, but he’s also a valid mode of effortless transportation, y’see.

that’s pretty much all i have headcanon-wise at the moment, but thanks for the ask!

So what if there was a whole culture based off of Gaia? Both celebrated Light and Dark. And what if Chip, in certain circumstances, like being in danger, would revert to his main language. I'll call it Gaian language for simplicity and he wouldn't even notice but it did shock Sonic the first time he heard it. The culture is long dead with a few here and there still practicing it. The language would be pretty old as well

this!! all of this would be my heart and soul!! the details unleashed went into were already really neat, especially with the mentions of festivals celebrating the sun and moon, the manuscripts, the murals in the temples / temples in general... seeing the source material the game introduced get explored like that would let me die with a peaceful conscience.

light and dark gaia are balanced, they need each other, so it wouldn’t be too far fetched to assume they’d have equal involvement in a hypothetical gaia culture (sorta mimicking the constant push and pull they’re always in).

i’d imagine that gregorios would still be practicing it, spreading the legends to today’s youth and what-not to pass them onto future generations. he just seems like that kinda dude! telling the younguns the stories of the gaias and their roles in the beginning stages of the planet definitely would be right up his alley.

also chip totally would have some on-the-fly response to revert back to gaian tongue whilst under pressure and sonic’s just completely thrown for a loop the first time around—
