so for the past few weeks i've been getting visits from a pair of jehova's witness missionaries and although they're really nice and all i can't help but feel like i'm being manipulated. they've shown me their scripture passages and ask me observation questions that are also very leading...there's no room to give an answer that isn't what they're planning for. and the questions don't stop. they keep going until they've trapped you into repeating everything they want you to but there's no mention of sin or grace or sanctification or faith or holiness. they don't even talk about Jesus's death on the cross which is a pretty big deal--in fact, it's probably the biggest deal there is! but there's none of that. now i've studied the bible for many years and i've read these passages they show me before and i find that they're taking them out of the context so it fits their message and it bothers me.
originally i wanted to talk with them so i could better understand their doctrine but i don't like the vibe i'm getting. it feels unlegit
