I get your point but it bears mentioning that Arya was never free from the violence of patriarchy, not as a small girlish looking boy, and not in Braavos. She's constantly threatened with sexual assault to, and she has no title to protect her against it during such times.
I won’t deny that--indeed I agree wholeheartedly. I am not sure that I think it fits into the specific theme in Arya’s arc that I was talking about w/r/t/self effacement, though. I see a difference between being told by individuals “you--as you are--are not how you should be” and having to hide parts of yourself to maintain safety. That’s why I didn’t include it in that post which was dealing with two specific thematic overlaps. I by no means meant to imply that Arya’s safety was never questioned or that the damage of the patriarchy wasn’t ever present in her arc.
