❧ New Meetings

It was a rather warm Saturday, and for the first time in a while Ai had nothing to do than perhaps some homework or just take a stroll through town. He didn’t feel like neither, though. At least, not alone.

He didn’t want to bother Rin, though. He was probably tired after the training or maybe busy with his homework. Or of course basically any other thing, he had no idea. 

A sigh escaped the youngster’s lips as he stood up from the dark-brown bench that stood on the school grounds, just outside the large building itself. 

‘‘Guess I’ll see if Momo is here, maybe he has no plans eith-’‘ Ah. That was no option, either. Momo specifically told him all week - even late at night when Ai woke up to go to the bathroom - he was going to visit his brother in Tokyo. 

‘‘I don’t really want to bother anyone else...’‘ He mumbled in himself as he decided to just walk on the school grounds - maybe he would meet up with a teammate that was bored as well, that didn’t feel like doing any homework or go all the way to town by themselves. Just maybe he would.

     Ai had been looking for new swimming material, as well as material so he could train at home in winter. Unfortunately, buying all that he wanted - or rather say, needed, in his opinion - was expensive overall. Even his parents agreed that maybe it was a better idea to start getting a job. 

Ai never worked before - all the working experience he had was the Samezuka Culture Festival, at the Maid Cafe. Unfortunately, something as a waiter would be too much for him. No, he’d prefer somewhere more quiet, if that was even possible.

Luckily for Ai, he spotted a poster on the glass doors saying they were looking for new employees. The greyhead immediately applied, and a couple of days later he was lucky enough to get the job. Today was his first workday, which made him rather anxious. 

Even though he came to the library every now and then, it still felt as if this was a whole new place for him. As well as the new people he would meet today - what if he did something wrong? What if all he could do was stutter? 

The male shook his head softly, and entered the library.

⁎⁑ Blink ⁑⁎

The day had started rather cold, but luckily Nitori had done all the groceries he wanted to do for tonight’s dinner. His family would be out for the weekend, so he had to get everything done himself, which wasn’t much of a problem. He liked it, actually. He could do whatever he want. and when he wanted to.

He somehow did miss the interaction with his friends, whenever something funny on TV happened, he’d just talk to the air about it - leaving him in an awkward silence afterwards

.‘‘Ah. I should hurry up, before the cold gets worse.’‘ He mumbled in himself as he hurried his way to crosswalk, letting out a soft sigh as he noticed the traffic lights jumping on red the moment he arrived. 

He placed his heavy bag with groceries next to him on the sidewalk and started to just wait patiently until the lights finally allowed him to continue his way home. It was much longer until he thought he saw someone familiar. It must’ve been the cold that was getting to him, though. Or the fact that maybe he felt more alone than he wanted to admit.

He walked up to said person and decided to speak at last. ‘’Hey! It’s been a wh-’’ Nitori’s cheeks were already red due to the cold weather, but he could have sworn they were getting more and more red after he noticed it was not the person he thought it would be. ‘’A-Ah! I’m so sorry, I totally mistook you for someone else...’’ He mumbled as he took a deep bow as a form of an apology.

💙 = What is one thing that can calm down the mun and muse? Is it a person, thing, or place?

For Lynna it would either have to be a sound or a thing. Like she’ll get distracted if you direct her head to look at a wind chime. Or if she hears any sound that sounds like ocean waves because the further she is from the ocean the more uncomfortable and anxious she is, even if she doesn’t show it. 

For me, Fuu, the potato, what calms me down say if I’m real mad or something is listening to the Marconi Union ‘Most Relaxing Tune’. One time that zoned me out for like 3 days I was stress free . Otherwise honestly?? Kinda weird but I’ll google ‘drive through [insert big city] or ‘walk through [insert big city] and zone out to the city sounds or car sounds. Like sometimes if I can’t sleep I’ll play that on my phone and I’m out.

Nitori’s cheeks became dark red. ‘’N-Nanase-san!’’

He didn’t dislike it, though - the opposite. It was just embarrassing to him that he was showing it in such an obvious way - this made him really happy. He felt very accepted by his fellow-swimmer.

“R-Rin-senpai..!” Ai really did his best not to cling himself onto the older one - it was obvious this has really touched his heart.

Ai’s cheeks turned red yet at the same time his smile let itself know the greyhead was filled with joy. “This really makes me happy!”

“I don’t feel so good…” ✌️

Ai gave the redhead a worried look. In Ai’s experience, Rin was the type of person to mostly keep it for himself if something was wrong with him. Hence this worried him.

“Rin-senpai? What’s the matter? Are you feeling sick? Do you need me to get you some medicine? Y-You should sit down!” He almost panicked.
