Misery Business
Sometimes Homika forgot how good the vibrations of loud music could feel under her feet. After a hiatus of several months, The Koffings were back on stage, ready for a full night of jamming at the Virbank Gym. And God, it just felt so good.
After having drained several energy drinks and more than a few candy bars, the small girl bounced over to the drummer, Shane. In fact, it was a wonder she wasn't bouncing off the walls. Or suffering from cardiac arrest. Either way, the gym was set to open in about fifteen minutes, though there were some challengers milling about. People who actually came for the gym aspect could come in early and prepare themselves for the battle. After all, it was the least she could do since her pokemon were such tough customers. The challengers could take a chance and familiarize themselves with the surroundings.
Shane flashed her a grin that might have stopped her heart had she been a normal female. However, the nineteen year old boy had been her flame two years ago and she had quickly outgrown him. With that, she turned back to the brilliantly bright lights at the front of the stage, doing an experimental strum on her Scolipede bass. She had polished her baby up nice for this occasion. Homika was making her comeback tonight. Months had been spent training with her pokemon and just taking on challengers to the gym rather than nightly shows with the band. Not that the time had been wasted without the band getting anything done. They had made a whole new album. Tonight was the first show of many exhibiting it.
So, as she waited for the crowds to come pouring in the door starting at seven, she also awaited her first challenger of this new season. That person would meet a new and improved Homika. She and her pokemon were ready for anything.
