This ensemble has worked so hard for the last few months, building this beautiful show about how we deal with trauma and loss. It's all improvised, so every show turns into a sort of dance, with the cast moving around each other, weaving together a story and picture along with the lighting and sound improvisers. Color, shadow, volume, position, timing... Every scene is just beautiful to watch and hear and feel. I am just so stinkin' proud of this show. I only put in about a week of construction work, but my friends have been building this one for months. It's surreal, seeing this mixture of people I've watched improvise for almost nine years - the folks who inspired me to take up the art form - mixed with people I've met along the way. Some I taught, some I learned from, some I learned WITH - all coming together to make something deeply personal and yet universally meaningful. I'm already upset I won't be able to see all six shows of the run. Each one will be completely unique and then... *poof* Gone.
