🕯️on a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you enjoy editing? why is that?
im like very neutral on it tbh so maybe like...5? i have grown more fond of it on REALLY long pieces lately because i get to watch Number Go Down and then back up if i need to add more stuff into it after the fact. but it also means i sometimes need to cut some stuff i did really enjoy the quality of but ultimately didn't fit tonally/pacing-wise
🎲 what stops you from writing more in your free time?
ough. on the not fun side of things, the fact that i am frequently exhausted after the 9-5 and also . the adhd. on a more fun side of things, i always have a number of other creative projects in rotation which sometimes makes writing (whether fanfiction or original stuff) hard to slot into the schedule at times. so to speak

somehow whenever i get these questions all my thoughts i have ever had leave my brain. but. i personally hc dave bowman as gay (not that his relationship w betty wasn't meaningful but was kind of derived from a feeling of obligation rather than fully from a want for a relationship) and i think realizing he had some kind of attraction to hal was the first time he ever actually started to fully conceptualize of that which was doubly confusing because. Computer. anyway on the flipside hal doesn't technically have a concept of sexuality inherent to his programming but heuristically develops a preference for men primarily from the experience base of people he is exposed to in development/deployment but doesn't have any like. thoughts on acting upon this because that is not a rational course of action for him. but I do think the gay thoughts start to percolate on board discovery, not unlike what is going on in dave's head. all that to say im not a huge fan of like. oh you found your first love right off the bat and they were The One but I think these two fell into that on complete accident. except for them first base was total neural deactivation of the other. second base was pulling hal's soul out of the ship computer interface and third base was becoming the same guy. you know how it is
