I don't consider myself outspoken. The stuff I speak out about are all about treating people with equality. It's the stuff everyone should be outspoken about. It's our responsibility to stand up for each other. We're all part of the human race. If everyone stood up for what was right every day the world would be a much happier place. But too often we wait for someone else to come along and do what has to be done, say the things that no one wants to say. In life, someone has to be the adult. It's not always fun however some things just need to be said or done. Too many people are stricken with the Peter Pan syndrome where they want to be unburdened by the responsibilities of being an adult in today's world waiting for someone else to do the hard stuff. Or blaming everyone else when life gets challenging. Change begins with you. Your life, your future, your destiny lies in your own hands. The hardest things in life are also the most rewarding. Forgot to post this here yesterday! Soooo tired from all the fun at #texasfrightmareweekend.... here we go.... Hey guys and grrls! Had the most fabulous at Texas Frightmare Weekend giving the very lucky attendees the first look at Crimson Creek Massacre. I was floored by the kindness that not only we were shown, but how contagious that positivity can be. So many hugs, so many smiles, so many new friends made! You couldn't look anywhere without seeing horror fans bonding with horror fans! It's a beautiful thing when you pass the love around with no ulterior motives. You do it because being nice is cool AF. You sit there and say your life is shit, guess what? You create a shitty world for yourself. You allow people to treat you shitty. You make bad decisions because you feel you don't deserve better. You don't love yourself enough to walk away from those negative people and situations. One of the biggest differences between decent folk and shitty folk is the ability to take accountability. Shit people never take accountability for anything. Everything is someone else's fault. They're the first ones to have shitty things to say about anyone that's not around. They'll turn on the water works and find a way to play the victim just so they don't have to be an adult. Sure, it sucks to fuck up. But everyone does. Own up to it. And don't just verbally take accountability, make changes. Make it up to whoever you fucked up with if you can. And take accountability for staying around people who treat you shitty. Yup, I had to learn that one myself, but if you stick around you're torturing yourself for no reason. Stop it. It's better to be alone with than surrounded by assholes. Believe you me. Change the people in your life and you can change your whole world. Be kind to someone and you can change around their whole day. Be the change you want to see in the world. Phew! It's a looooong one, but that's my sleep deprived #UnsolicitedMondayAdvice

It's not Monday, but here's some advice anyways. Act like you might die tomorrow. Don't take for granted that you think you have one more day. You never know who you're gonna lose and when or how. Make every day matter and every interaction count. You never know when it'll be the last time you speak to someone. Live a life without regrets and without leaving things unfinished. We spend a lot of time in the past, way more than we should, and plenty of time living in the future. We wait for that one special something to happen or come along to give us permission to shrug off our pasts and start truly living. Don't wait. Make that day today. We don't know how much time we are awarded in this life. Make the time you have count. And make sure the people you love and care about know that you do every single day because the time will come when you won't be able to tell them anymore. I hope everyone who is going through hard times and loss knows that they're not alone even though it can feel very lonely. Death is another path we all must take. Some further thoughts on my #UnsolicitedMondayAdvice. Yesterday I encouraged you all to be and live the stories you want left behind. It was brought up that despite what you do in life, how much good you put out there, how many lives you touch, there will still be those who speak shitty about you and tell stories that are either half truths or absolute fabrications. After all, we are all editors of our own realities. We remember the memory of an event and not the events themselves as time goes on. We revisit that memory and over time it shifts and alters. We can lie to ourselves and that lie can take on a life of its own until we can no longer tell reality from fantasy. Or we can be honest to a fault and let the chips fall where they may. In my experience, the truth always comes out. Because the truth never changes. That's the beautiful thing about the truth. The truth cannot hide in the light. It's the higher road to take and the path less traveled, but it feels better to go through life being decent, in big or small ways, as every little act of kindness can make a bigger difference in someone's life than maybe you'll ever even know. So, what do we do? Now more than ever it's important to not "just read the headlines", we need to know the whole story. We need to question what we hear and always consider the source. Why are we being sold a story? Who has something to gain? Who has something to lose? Those who cannot do for themselves and those who are miserable, either consciously or subconsciously, with the choices they have made will always be the first to try to attack others rather than looking inwards on themselves. So, I say, live a life that you're proud of. Leave behind stories of kindness and compassion. If people want to make falsifications about you, let them and leave them behind you. If you hear someone wants to drag someone through the mud, consider why they're involving you and what they've got to gain. Hatred only begets more hatred and that shit will eat you alive. Your energies can be so much better spent. If you're reading this, this message was meant for you.

Happy Monday, boys and grrls! Here's some #UnsolicitedMondayAdvice for you. Give 100%. Not 110%, not 200%, and certainly not 300%. Spoiler alert, your 100% is more than enough. It's the most you can give. You are already giving your all. Don't light yourself on fire to keep someone else warm. If you feel you giving it your all isn't enough chances are the situation you're in needs to be looked at in a different way or the people around you may be leaving the weight of whatever on you because they know you'll kill yourself to get it done and they can do whatever they want and just take all the credit or whatever their small selves are preoccupied with. These are poisonous situations. Leave them. Poisonous people? Leave them, too. Worry about you. Take care of yourself because you know better than anyone what you need. If you keep pushing yourself so hard for people who aren't putting in the same effort, it's gonna really hurt you. Go find some other situation or other people who not only need you, but appreciate you. Enjoy the little things in life. Have a coffee. Pet your kitty. Go for a walk. Take photographs. Binge a Netflix show. You need some off time as surely as you need to be on. Don't feel you need to shoulder the burden of everyone else's problems. It's their lessons to learn and you do a disservice trying to be the one to "take care of things" for someone else. In the end, you can only be responsible for your own actions. So be nice to yourself. You put a lot of goodness out there. Make sure you're one of the people you're being good to.
