One of my memories as a freshman in the University of Athens was when a distinguished professor of Theoretical Computer Science - that was later awarded a Gödel Prize 🥳 - convinced the whole classroom that if we attempted to solve an open problem, his knowledge and wits were not as important as the fresh minds that we [possibly] had. After class all of us dreamed about solving Goldbach’s conjecture and needed to find a copy of ‘Uncle Petros’ immediately! Today’s strip is about that lecture and focuses on the possibility stated above that we didn’t consider very much at the time! 🤓
