BIO

💀 John Constantine is a walking talking mess from Liverpool, England. He’s an anti-hero, a semi-decent magician, a great exorcist, an excellent con artist and the former leader of Justice League Dark. Also, the former lead singer of occultist punk band Mucous Membrane.  

💀 Constantine has always had a bad reputation thanks to his usually highly questionable methods and his incredibly bad luck. Neither other magicians or dark creatures like him.

💀 Although he is a magician, John prefers to win fights by lying his way out of them. For example, he has faked selling his soul to poor unsuspecting demons countless times.

💀 Speaking of demons, John’s body is tainted with demon blood. (That he never lost or recently reacquired oops.) The demon blood allows him to cast (some) spells without a cost.

💀 He has suffered from intense self-loathing his whole life. His mother died giving birth to him and his stillborn twin brother. John was raised by his drunkard, abusive father who blamed John for the loss of his wife.

💀 He began experimenting with magic as a young child. (Yes, this will be a mix of his og origin story and his new 52 origin story, come @ me.   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) John tragically lost his remaining family when he tried casting a spell that would make him a powerful magician.  What John hadn’t been told was that the spell required a grand sacrifice in order to work. John’s childhood home suddenly caught fire and burned to a crisp. That night John lost his remaining family.

💀 As a young adult, John formed a punk band with his first love Veronica and his friend Gary who shared who shared his interest in magic and occultism. The band fell apart when a spell gone wrong caused Veronica love to become a monstrous spirit-killing ghost. John was unable to save her soul.

💀 Afterwards, John focused his energy on studying magic. Once he had learned everything that there was to learn about magic in Europe, he headed to New York to study under a powerful mage, Nick Necro. Unfortunately for Nick, John fell in love with his girlfriend, Zatanna Zatara. John ended up dating Zatanna once Nick betrayed his pupils and disappeared.

💀 John and Zatanna broke up when Zatanna’s her father was tragically killed in a seance gone wrong, all thanks to John. Needless to say, Zatanna wasn’t happy with him. Heartbroken and tired of New York, John returned to England and began working as an occult detective to make a living.

💀 The fate of Astra Logue will always haunt him. Astra was an abused girl from Newcastle who was accidentally sent to Hell by John when he tried to free her from the clutches of demon Nergal. John spent the next two years in the Ravenscar Asylum.

💀 He will also always regret the fate of Oliver, his boyfriend who also ended up being sent to Hell thanks to John. 

.💀  He was the leader of Justice League Dark (read: the emo version of Justice League) for a short period of time until he ruined everything (including his sort of rekindled relationship with Zatanna) by acting like a selfish jerk. 

💀 Anyways, much to everyone’s surprise (including John’s), he somehow managed to make Zatanna like him again. The two of them somehow ended up getting married and had twins. When John found out that he was going to be a father, he considered fleeing. After all, most people he associated with ended up getting hurt and he doubted his luck would spare his children. (Spoilert alert: he ended up staying.)

💀 He became the kind of father that shows up to a PTA covered in sacrificial blood because he put down the wrong date. He loves his children more than anything and he wouldn’t hesitate to let the world burn in order to save them. 

💀 John quit smoking when the twins were born. Well, he tried to. He still smokes in secret whenever he thinks that Zee can’t see him.

julian stark was born a prince, not one with a crown on his head but one with the world in his hands and a mind capable of thinking the future and making it happen too. he’s never wanted for anything and it shows. 

ingenious and bright, he was everything the world seemed to expect from a tony stark son. a little boy who spent too much time pulling things apart only to come up with something better, and with a toy box where tools and circuit boards mixed with blocks and toy cars.

school very quick became a nightmare, not for him but for his teachers who couldn’t hold the too restless and too smart boy’s attention for long and had to deal with julian correcting and challenging them at every corner. 

unsurprisingly, he finished his schooling much earlier and by seventeen he was leaving mit with a dual sb in mechanical engineering and in electrical engineering and computer science. he’s currently studying for his maters and working at stark industries. 

following his dad’s footsteps was always part of the plan. from pretending to be iron man when he was five to messing with his dad’s suits when he shouldn’t and finally working on his own suit his first year of college.  ( i haven’t picked a hero name ok those are hard )

the three years he spent in mit were some of the best but also when what could be considered the most traumatic event of his life happened. it was during his last year there ( and a little over a year ago ) that the research labs at mit were targeted in an attack. 

the goal was to steal some of the technology that was being developed there ( a lot of those by julian ), they failed, but left behind a collapsed building and injured and dead students. 

julian was one of the injured, but worse than his physical injuries or a week long induced coma was the guilt that followed him. to this day, he blames himself for bringing the attackers there ( even though it was not his fault ) and for not being able to save everyone ( even though he got some people and the explosion was unexpected ). 

he was always a reckless kid, looking for fun anywhere he could and not bothering about consequences but after the incident it got worse. he became self-destructive and with zero self-preservation. he will say it has nothing to do with anything.

the now, he is still studying and working and he is officially a hero ( he doesn’t think he deserves that title ).

BACKGROUND

* alexander was born in doomstadt, the capital city of latveria. his biological parents were scientists who secretly were avid criticizers of the ruler of latveria, doctor doom. unfortunately for the residents of latveria, criticizing the way the country is run is never a good idea... unless you are prepared to face extremely heavy consequences. 

* eventually alexander’s parents were exposed. worried for the safety of their one-year-old child, they parents tried to escape from latveria. sadly, the family was stopped by doombots and brought to doom castle. alexander’s parents lost their lives when they were confronted by the real doctor doom. 

* however, doctor doom sensed untapped potential in their child... mainly in the form of both cultivating and taking advantage of his abilities. so, much to everyone’s surprise, victor von doom decided to raise alexander and officially declared him as his son. 

* both thanks to the status of his adoptive father and his abilities, alexander has lived a very sheltered life, hidden away from the general public. the number of friends he has ever had can be counted be counted on the fingers of one hand. (and yes, at least three of those friends were doombots and doom castle staff.) 

* when latveria suddenly needed a new diplomat in new york two months ago, alexander (who was desperate to see the outside world for once) convinced his adoptive father to let him take the position. victor decided to humor him.

* alexander doesn’t know the truth about the death of his parents. instead, he believes that doctor doom adopted him out of the goodness of his heart. 

* although he respects his adoptive father (like every good latverian citizen should), he has never fully trusted him and he can’t understand why. 

* he accidentally saw victor without his mask when he was six. he had nightmares for weeks afterwards. 

ABILITIES

* whenever someone touches alexander’s skin, he temporarily absorbs the powers, abilities and (some) memories of that person. he cannot keep any power or abilities he absorbs. 

* his touch makes most people (superhuman or not) pass out and they feel tired afterwards for a short period of time.

* his adoptive father made him train his power daily. let’s just say that alexander was not a big fan of this decision.

* alexander can’t control his power so covers his hands at all times.. and shies away from touch  whenever he can.

* alexander has access doomtech and he participated in creating some of it. although he isn’t as talented as his adoptive father when it comes to technology, he is a decent tinkerer. 

PERSONALITY

* the enormous size of victor von doom’s ego never left any room for alexander to become arrogant. instead, he became very reserved. 

* both his abilities and his status have made him a bit cynical. he has hard time believing that people actually want to spend time with him.

* alexander can be very protective of the ones he cares about. this includes his adoptive father.

1 / he is born, the youngest of four, and is a little lion. his laugh is a roar and his giggles are purrs and he doesn’t cry, not even when his father is mean or uncaring. scathing words can’t hurt the little cub if he can’t hear them, and if he hides in his den -- in his closet, under his bed -- his dad can’t bother him. if he can’t be found, he’s safe. and that’s how it works, for the most part. there are a few times where his dad finds him, but mostly he discovers he doesn’t care enough to.

2 / and that’s how he learns to live, for a while anyway. the little lion no longer roars, and instead hides himself away and keeps quiet, not wanting to bother his siblings or father and just finds ways to get himself in trouble. he’s alone, mostly, until he’s surrounded by terrible things and then he’s alone but in a sea of people. coming home is just as bad if not worse, to be alone with no distraction. going to his nice friends’ houses are nice but he knows he doesn’t belong there. with the nice things. he is not a nice thing.

 3 / he manages to get by, for the most part. there’s a teacher he almost confides in when he’s about twelve before that man turns out to be just as awful as his father, so that’s a bust. he’s got a handful of friends but mostly, lysander keeps to himself as best he can. it’s easier that way. he can keep up appearances and pretend that he’s still a lion as long as he ignores the poachers everywhere.

4 / things get worse and worse for years and lysander doesn’t know what to do. what else is there but this kind of life? it is easier to escape, he thinks, and so he spends time running with one or two or ten bad people. the worst of them offers him a place to live and no need to pay his way and anything sounds better than being at home, so he runs away and loses himself in that world.

5 / so lysander’s life for about four years is nothing but him. his house and his voice and his everything entirely enveloping his senses. it’s not a good four years, but it takes that amount of time for him to realise that maybe this isn’t the best place for him to be. formerly content to just allow this man to kill him, eventually, the youngest luthor finds himself an opportunity to run. and after taking enough money out of his family’s account, lysander disappears.

and so the lion vanished,

6 / and so lysander realises he has nowhere to go, but nowhere to go is better than somewhere to stay, and so he just runs. it takes three weeks for him to find some secluded place in the woods somewhere, and he pays his rent with cash so there’s no trail for anybody to follow his transaction, and for six years he stays in the woods, alone and surrounded by plants, and it feels like this is where he should have been for his whole life.

7 / he’s littered in scars and his bones ache but eventually, after what seems like no time at all, he comes back to his family. the real world is calling, and his father is noticing that money is slowly sapping out of the account, and the hunted, wounded animal has to return to his pride of lions. but as he looks at himself in a mirror and packs his bag, he wonders how long he’ll last before they eat him alive.

8 / he makes one friend, at least. they get along surprisingly well for someone so afraid of everything and together they open a little shop. it has his need for plants and her need for baked goods and it feels good to feel safe with somebody. his family is overwhelming and his old friends are curious and concerned, but she’s just excited to get things up and running. she’s good. he doesn’t deserve good, but she deserves effort, and he’s not going to let her down.

9 / lysander is a nice guy, really, if you’re able to get more than a few words out of him. he’s happy to talk about flowers and plants for hours on end, and he’d like to listen to everything you have to say, but the broken down thing can’t handle a conversation centred around himself for too long. he’s very clever, despite his mistakes, and needs friends more than he wants them.

her powers consist of super strength & enhanced durability, and the power of “flight” aka more like jumping really high and far,,, lmao. she also built up a telepathic resistance to mind control. 

she cannot,,, fight,,, like the other defenders. she doesnt really have combat training lke the rest of them. so catch this beautiful idiot just ripping doors off of cars and yeeting them around,,, i like to say she cant throw down like the other defenders so she just,,, throws people around instead. or punches them in the face. usually the latter. 

along those lines she is a ( begrudging ) member of the defenders but somehow manages to find connections for herself with random unaffiliated people ( carol danvers as her best friend, elsa bloodstone, & emma frost to name a few )

for this reason i mean it when i say jj can plot with just about anyone, seriously. marvel or dc, throw them at me. it’s likely she owes someone a favour or she’ll call in a favour with someone. she knows,,, everyone. somehow.

HISTORY —

blayze constantine is famously known as the soft twin. him and cyrus are the second born children to zatanna zatara and john constantine. he was always inseparable from cyrus, often would scream if one of their parents tried to separate them. they continue to stay close as they grow up to present day.

blayze is very charismatic, always willing to talk someone’s ear off about anything he could think of. it was easy for him to make friends, but that doesn’t always mean they were genuinely interested in having him around. blayze was good at school, but often gets easily distracted which plays a factor in his performance. 

now, he loves both of his parents a lot, but is often intrigued by what his father was always disappearing to do. once as a little kid blayze sneaks along with john. only to see a demon for the first time and suddenly scream. which is when his father first realizes that he was even there. he ends up doing this a few more times after this until his mother tells him that it was dangerous — and staying home with her or uncle chas was better.

the boy becomes fascinated by watching zatanna perform,and wants to start learning magic too. he begins practicing, becoming GREAT at it even. there was no intention to become a hero of any kind. he just uses it as needed or for his own gain. is that selfish? maybe, but the whole HEROISM thing never appealed to him as he got older. 

blayze as a teenager goes to a lot of parties — finding the atmosphere to be something he enjoys. which can get you into trouble, another activity that the boy likes to do. it’s not unheard of for him to be caught sneaking into places he doesn’t belong. pulling pranks to have some fun is always the excuse. the boy has always had a weird sense of humor — bit morbid even. blayze picks up an ugly habit of smoking occasionally too, among other things, but maybe if he was more careful nothing bad would happen, right?

RIGHT?

when blayze turns eighteen that’s when his life has a turning point. on the way home from his friend’s place there’s a decision made to slip into an abandoned building because this was a shortcut he always takes — even if there’s a sign saying not to trespass. blayze has never seen someone here, so it felt safe. oh, how wrong he was.

there’s a small group of men hovering over someone else — one of them is knelt down with his mouth presses against her neck. now, blayze has dealt with ghosts and demons before so this shouldn’t scare him — he knows all about the supernatural because that’s HIS THING, but he couldn’t have prepared himself for this. 

the men watching turn to look at blayze, and the person who’s presumed as only dead is dropped to the ground as that man stands up too. he’s running at him, and before he could blink there was a hand gripping his face. he was in the wrong place, at the wrong time — and he was going to be punished for it. no loose ends, and the way to keep blayze quiet was to turn him. 

HES TURNED INTO A VAMPIRE that night, and left there to figure it all out on his own. blayze passes out, but wakes up starving for something that no amount of human food could fix. it wasn’t difficult to piece together what happened — and he vows to never hurt someone to feed his urges. he has kept that promise ever since.

doesn’t tell anyone about this outside of his twin and a few people. he doesn’t know how to tell john or zatanna yet. he’s currently twenty years old, but he’s going to look eighteen for the rest of his life. 

he’s studying to be a lawyer — blayze is smart so that shouldn’t be a problem if he doesn’t let the parties get in the way.

Hi everyone! I’m Maya and i’m super excited to be here. It’s been a while since I’ve rped, but i’d love to plot things out and throw my baby your way if you’d like <3 but onto the details about Matty ,

Matilda was only nine when her birth parents were killed by Kilgrave, but her powers kicked in and protected her until Jess and Luke stumbled upon the scene.

The pair brought her back to Claire to get her checked out, eventually making the decision as a group to adopt her.

Having the parents she has now and her force-field powers pretty much turned her into the hero-complex type.

She’s very protective of the defenders family and will fight anyone that messes with them.

Unless it involves her family, Matty is the type to act first and think later. She tends to be very skeptical of those outside of her family, being jaded from her childhood and Kilgrave.

She packs most of her emotions away, shielding herself from her inner struggles

Matty feels incredibly lucky to have the parents she has now, even if she only expresses that to Claire.

Becoming a P.I was a deal she made with her parents. Instead of being vigilante like she wanted to, Matty agreed to use what she’s learned from Jess to help people out in another way.
