Here are some bands that I used to listen a lot, but now they disbanded or just were a side project from the band members.
.- After Forever (1995 - 2009): It was Floor Jansen’s very first band, being one of the best symphonic metal bands in the 2000′s.
.- Stream of Passion (2005 - 2016): Created by Arjen Lucassen with Marcela Bovio as lead vocalist. Originally set to be just a one album project, but the band kept one to release four albums.
.- Theatre of Tragedy (1993 - 2010): Started with Liv Kristine as their vocalist, being replaced later by Nell Sigland. The band experimented with doom metal, gothic metal and even industrial metal.
.- Revamp (2009 - 2016): This was the second Floor Jansen band with a more progressive sound, where she also incorporated growling and harsh vocals.
.- The Gentle Storm (2014 - 2016): This was a project by Anneke van Giersbergen, and, again, Arjen Lucassen, set only to release one album.
.- The Charm The Fury (2010 - 2018): A band lead by Caroline Westendorp which sadly disbanded at the top of their game.
.- Krypteria (2001 - 2012): Lead by Ji-In Cho, this band changed their name to And Then She Came, leaving gothic metal behind.
.- Elis (2003 - 2012): A gothic metal band with Sabine Dünser as their vocalist, who sadly passed away, then Sandra Schleret took her place, and finally Simone Christinat ended being the last vocalist from the band.
.- UnSun (2006 - 2016): With Anna Stefanowicz as the lead singer, this band ended because she had some health issues with her voice.
.- Flowing Tears (1994 - 2014): Stefanie Duchêne was their original vocalist, then Helen Vogt took place, who said in 2014 that she would like to record a new album with the band.
