@unsureoddish sent - Jessica took an unsteady breath, her hands shaking as she listened to the dial tone on her cellphone. Her 'date' this year had gone horribly wrong, and the only person she could think to reach out to...was Ryuji.
Of course, it WAS Valentine's Day...so she was fully prepared for him not to answer. And if that happened, then...she wasn't sure what she was going to do.
"H-Hello-" she stammered as soon as the line connected. She was desperately trying to mask the fact that she was in tears, but it was fairly obvious in hindsight.
"I know you, u-um, you're probably busy with your Valentine's Day...b-but um..." She spoke, ignoring the odd looks from the other women in the restroom.
"If you g-get the time, could...c-could you walk me home...?"
((Sorry this is unprompted...just having a bad holiday and felt like writing something. Feel free to delete!))
( Valentines Day 2023 - Accepting! )
Ryuji's Valentines Day hadn't really felt much like a Valentines Day at all, rather just another uneventful day at Shujin. Earlier that morning, he'd received a chocolate from his Ma and here and there, he'd gotten the odd friendship chocolate - but it was just friendship chocolate, nothing to read too deeply into.
Whilst perhaps a year ago, he might have been bemoaning his lack of a date, today he was simply tired from a long time of passively observing couples and ready to head home.
...That was until he had felt his phone beginning to vibrate and though there had been a few seconds where he stared curiously at the screen, wondering what Jessica could have possibly been calling him about, he did puck up the phone.
"Ah, Jess." He gives a slight nod and a smile, an instinct even if he knows that she can't see it, though the smile lasts for little under a minute as he realizes something sounds wrong. "Oh, it's okay, actually. I'm not busy at all,"
"...Where are you, Jess? I'll come and find you,"
