Peace out.
Where I live the sun still has to set for today but I know she has brought new light upon you.
The 27th of February.
What should have been a regular day turned out to be one of the worst days yet. The day where your family, your brothers and all VIP’s will have to let you go. For two years.
Today you leave. You leave to serve your country as every capable man your age is obliged to.
No more selcas, more crazy outfits, no more Chanel bags, no more cigarettes or brightly coloured hair. No more Instagram updates, no more tattoos, no more breathtaking smiles or party nights in Paris.
In short, no more Jiyong. For two years.
I wish I could say that I’m fine but I’m not. How can anyone expect me to be fine when I’m losing my strength and support of four years? As childish and selfish as it is, I’m not ready to let you go. I don’t think I ever will be. The only thing that puts me at ease is the knowledge that when you finally return, it will be for good.
During your absence everything will have changed. We will all be older, your mom will have more grey hair, your sister will have her first wrinkle and BigBang may no longer be. Even with all these changes, our love for you will stay the same.
We will keep you close to our hearts and when you finally return it will feel as if you never left. After all, absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Just know that I will miss you terribly.
All the love,
Sara
