Roman was doing something that was completely out of the ordinary for him, he was ignoring Peter. It wasn’t until Peter spoke of a dream he’d had as of late which seemed more disjointed than usual, Upon explaining that did Roman stay in the same place with him for longer than two seconds. They’d been on the same wavelength with things of that nature, they were linked somehow. It reminded him of that whole…’we’re both in this together’ thing Roman said once. However, this was something much different than before. Strange how tonight it seemed that everyone was out in town. Even for a beautiful fall night, it made this town seem like a normal place. Not one that had been plagued with inexplicable events. But towns were like that, that was one thing Peter knew in his heart. Places were constant sources of changing energy because of those that were stationary, coming, going or simply passing through.
“C’mon,” Peter said as he sidestepped his umpteenth person on the crowded sidewalk as he grabbed the material of Roman’s coat to steer him in the direction of the alley, “-at least cutting through here we’ll spend less time sidestepping people.”
The dream he’d had was different, it was he and Roman standing on either side of a quickly widening crater speaking words to each other that couldn’t be understood. Yet it seemed with every attempt the gap grew more and more.
Peter was about to make completely bullshit conversation since the silence around them was quickly becoming deafening. It wasn’t until the Upir whipped him around planting him into the wall. Rather unsure at what brought this about the Romani was about to speak. He was about to open his mouth when he felt Roman’s lips and tongue on his neck.
There wasn’t a lot that could be said but he almost felt the need to mask his surprise, “Ro, what-are, what are you doing?”
