& RE : banter / @untowonder.
☛ YOU SPEAK OF YOURSELF IN SUCH A DEROGATORY MANNER , there are times that I feel as if my heart is aching on your behalf. ☚ Perhaps it is a blunt comment, but he has no concept of such boundaries in conversation. He fixes her with an unmoving stare, empty in expression though his words do not match. ☛ You’ve a soul full of such light, for one so cruel to oneself. ☚
@crimsontyrant replied: riddle cant ever have peace, not even in his own /house/ 😂😭
@untowonder replied: No forgiveness, only mild irritation
@splitcards replied: cater is the only one who is going to enjoy the tea from this mess
No forgiveness? He’s just going to help himself moving into Heartslabyul and work remote for Azul. He’d set up his base camp in the dorm’s dumpster outside of Marianne’s room, he doesn’t care. The moment she opens her window his voice would be the first thing she hears. The moment she draws her curtain apart his face is going to be the first thing she sees.
❝Goodness.❞ He says, very slowly, after they got to that part. He had still been willing to grant the film the benefit of doubt, even as clothes had begun to come off. But it had unsurprisingly took a lewd turn, typical of its aesthetics and the choice of actors in its entirety. ❝I doubt this is what you intended to show me...❞ He felt no shame, no embarrassment. His nature used to be more open to these sort of things. But the same could not be said for the other. ❝Were you conned by someone from Heartslabyul?❞
❝ Oh come now. Why so melancholy? ❞
Hm? Melancholy?
Well, she supposed that was one way to put it. Gemiya brings the teacup in her hand to her lips to buy herself a few more precious seconds before responding.
After a sip and placing the cup back down on its saucer, she eyes the clear amber beverage, her thoughts clouding as she desperately tries to clear off the haze. Gemiya instead opts to answer with a question of her own.
"Do you have siblings, Marianne?"
Never once has the other brought up such a subject, not that she's heard of anyway but that is the current subject floating in her mind's eye. A subject sensitive enough to lower the Dorm Leader's usual confident demeanor at least a smidgen.
"The subject of siblings can be quite the divisive one. On the one hand, you have those that adore one another and look up to one another. Or are simply downright protective of one another. to some degree" Her thoughts fade to a firey blue, the image of one particular pair sitting at the forefront of her mind for the moment. That image however, gives way to earthen tones, a lovely and lush pasture that soon cracks in two; split down the middle as a chasm divides the scene and grows in size. The chasm; a dark and an inky black.
"And on the other... there are those that cannot stand one another. For reasons either known or... unknown."
With the holidays coming up... the subject weighs on her a bit. Everyone would be going back home soon. To family.
"It's not exactly an easy subject to talk about."

❝ I really felt quite distressed at not receiving an invitation. ❞
For a split moment, the entire room fell into death-like silence. A moment easily missed for some but to those more in tune with their surroundings, it was notable.
The chatter in the room resumed and the familiar graceful clicks of Marianne's heels made their way across the room towards the engagement's host.
Gemiya, had moved to greet Marianne; pulling away from the other girls she was engaged in conversation with and walking over to meet her. It was then that she had been presented with a most curious query. Which... couldn't be right. Gemiya had taken great care to make sure everyone on her guest list had received an invitation. The party after all, was girls-only. How difficult could it have been to make sure every lady got one?
Mya, the Ramshackle Prefect, her own Vice Dorm-leader, her entire dorm. How? How could something so simple have been missed?
As the multitude of thoughts race through her head in less than a millisecond, she lifts her head and promptly lowers her chin in silent apology; as she was never the type to apologize aloud. "Oh my. I thought your invitation had reached you without issue. I made sure to craft an invitation for you. I remember signing it myself." An oversight on her part. Perhaps she should have checked the delivery statuses a bit more closely.
"I would never dream of not inviting you dear. The last thing I would want to do is cause you any distress. You know that. But come, enjoy yourself. You're here now and there's still plenty more time in the evening to partake in the festivities."

"Time seems to easily get away from you when having fun." Yuu spoke with a laugh, there was no real guarantee that Mary Ann had thought the process of chasing down Grim to be fun but in that moment Yuu was more of looking to be optimistic about it. For as many issues as the feline-dire-beast caused it was just easier to look at the situation from a more positive light instead of being in a constant state of annoyance or potentially anger and allow blot to seep through.
Though to be honest Yuu hadn't known if blot would actually affect her in anyway she really hadn't wanted to run the risk of it infecting any of the other students. Personally she had quite enough from the one's already dealt with.
"Ah, you have a curfew don't you?" Yuu suddenly exclaimed as she wondered why the time really mattered to the other female, forgetting that one of Heartslabyul's rules was to be back in the dorm by a certain time.
"If Riddle gives you a hard time just tell him I kept you, it might not really do anything but it might also get you away without needing to concern over being off with your headed." Granted that may also end in fire being put on her instead but Riddle's outbursts weren't exactly frightening to her anymore. "Thank you though, for helping me at the very least."
@untowonder sent || ❝ that storm doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. ❞
A curious thing, were her words a sort of metaphor? Or perhaps she’d meant them in reality as black clouds loomed shrouding all that came beneath them in a darkness equivalent to the night. Was it just the main land that was affected she’d wondered staring out at the oncoming storm, knowing that the temperature and the weather could prove vastly different depending which dorm you were in. Of course the possibility that it was a storm affecting every dorm and the main land of sage island alike was also a possibility and the curiosity of if this could possibly be natural or caused by the head of Diasmonia fluttered through her mind as well.
“Are the storms here…bad?” Yuu asked aloud unsure of what sort of weather the foreign world had in comparison to her own. Sure the tsunami’s and earthquakes were bad at times but this was a world of magic and she really hadn’t known what to expect, it was a frightening thought however to know that she’d gradually become used to it.
Glancing towards her classmate who she was pretty sure was named Mary Ann from what she’d been told by Ace and Deuce as well as heard from their teachers, the other woman was lovely but in effort to not be rude Yuu looked away back towards the blackened sky. She’d been told she had something of a staring problem in the past, the last thing she needed to do was irritate another of her classmates and possibly fall under another’s disdain.
“I mean like, since magic is such a normal thing here maybe this place has magical storms too. Ramshackle is admittedly in better shape than it was when I first moved in but I guess I’m concerned.” Perhaps Yuu could ask one of the other housewardens if she could linger in their dorms until it passed, feeling like any other buildings might hold up better. Or the possibility of just staying in the school was there as well but chances of Crowley giving her a myriad of work to do was just as likely if she did that. It was a burden to live in her mind sometimes, she didn’t want to inconvenience anyone else but she really didn’t want to deal with the possible outcome of what a storm could do.
“Ah, sorry I guess that sounds strange. Worrying over potentially nothing I mean.” She lightly laughed, choosing to believe it was just as ordinary as any other thunderstorm from her world.
